Senate Majority Leader Blocks Citizen Access to Information?

I read on Dakota War College that our Republican legislators are getting social media friendly. Hooray for online accessibility!

DWC mentions my own State Senator, Majority Leader Russell Olson (R-8/Wentworth), as a pretty regular Tweeter. Interested citizen that I am, I log in and click "Follow."

I get this message:

Note the message at the top: "Could not follow user: You have been blocked from following this account at the request of the user."

Was it something I said?

I really hope that's a Twitter error. I'll try again later... and I encourage my fellow citizens with an interest in open government to do the same and let me know if they receive this error message.

No kidding! Russ lets the SD House Dems follow him, and they've got to do more to get under his skin than I.

(By the way, Bob: thanks for not blocking me from your Twitter feed. :-D)
