Madison School Board Videos Part 1: Candidate Intros

Last updated on 2011.04.09

Finally, my Madison Central school board candidate videos uploaded! Thank you, YouTube!

Unlike the Madison city commission candidate videos, which I published yesterday all together in one post, I'm going to break the school board candidate videos into separate posts. I've also broken these videos up by speaker. I'm likely biased, being in the mix myself, but the school board discussion struck me as more lively and thought-provoking than the city commission discussion (your counteropinions on that assessment are welcome!).

Fashion note: that's a fine looking panel! Men all in neckties, the gentle lady in a sharp black interp suit. Way to set an example for the youth! (photo by Chuck Clement, Madison Daily Leader, April 6, 2011, p. 1)

I also happen to think this series is the best collection of local political video I've offered on the Madville Times. The view from the table is spectacular! Check out that little camera and tripod at the lower right: that's blogging in action!

Now, without further ado, the videos! First, introductions, leading off with local Wesleyan youth pastor Nathan Nash, who tells us not to mind if his phone goes off; it'll be his wife telling him she's going into labor (I admitted to Nathan afterwards that a part of me was hoping I'd get to capture a mad dash like that on video):

Jennie Thompson brings the notes to tell us about herself:

Corey Allen Gunderson delivers his prepared statement:

Cory Allen Heidelberger encapsulates his main campaign issues... and calls two people "bozos":

Shawn Miller expresses his dread of following my wild arm-waving expostulations (I get that a lot), then calls for hard choices and a long-term fiscal plan:

Folks, these videos and the others that I'll post are important. Study the candidates, listen to what they say, then get out Tuesday and make an informed vote.

More to come---stay tuned! And see all of the videos on Madville Times YouTube!

    I vote Jenny Thompson... She looks like a rival to KRisti Noem.

    I also vote Cory because he's smart on the issues and has a great blog!

    {CAH: Thanks, Mike! I'll take an endosement on the issues over looks any day.}
