House Votes to Repeal Obama: 33. House Votes on Farm Bill: 0.

The political quote of the week comes not from windy Tampa, but from Rep. Kristi Noem's town hall in Sioux Falls yesterday. That Sioux Falls paper notes that the event was our Congresswoman's first town hall in South Dakota's largest city. Wowza: in 20 months in office, she's found time to attend two swanky fundraisers in California, but waits until two months before the election to hold a public conversation in Sioux Falls?

Noem would obviously rather face well-healed out-of-state activists ready to hand her big checks with marching orders scrawled on the memo line than face her own constituents, who might say things like this quote, attributed to an area farmer by the South Dakota Democratic Party:

You've voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act thirty times, but you won't vote on the Farm Bill? Shame on you!

33 times, neighbor. 33.

Rep. Noem represents an opposition betting everything on removing a President with extreme prejudice at all costs to the oath she recited to serve the people of South Dakota while she's Marching In Line Face.

The Farm Bill is partly water bill: "The average American home uses about 260 gallons of water per day, according to the EPA. That quarter-pound burger you just gobbled down? More than 600 gallons of water."

Don't forget that Kristi and the " jobs first" GOP phonies also voted on 67 bills to restrict women's reproductive health and rights.

Bottom line, she has had two years to pave the way for this year's Farm Bill and she has done nothing but prove herself to be inept, ineffectual, inattentive or just plain absent for South Dakota's largest industry.

Oh, and those jobs bills they brag about...take a look at what gutting environmental regulations and crony earmarks looks like:

Add ignoring veterans and their needs to the GOP list of things not to do on top of the Farm Bill.

Veterans, their family and friends will be grateful that Obama stepped in to make sure we stop the epidemic of suicide from our returning war heroes.

BTW, to our GOP friends here at Madville...did I miss Romney in his speech talking about our current wars and their costs in blood and treasure?
