The Madison Central School District is auctioning a whole bunch of surplus items this week. The auction was supposed to happen last week, but demolition work delayed the sale.
You can visit the MHS maintenance shop tonight and Thursday night and peruse a selection of used tables, chairs, teachers' desks, file cabinets, TVs, microwaves, and even a good-looking miter saw. Hand your bid in an envelope to school business manager Mitchell Brooks by 8 p.m. Thursday and cross your fingers.
Not among the surplus items: one slightly dented spotlight rig and one broken rope. Bud Postma must be saving that spotlight for a separate auction on eBay.

Thanks for sharing!
Bud Postma is just preserving evidence for the lawsuit.
Not funny Cory. Our classmate's son could have been seriously injured or worse.
I'm not kidding about Heather's son. I'm noting that, quite realistically, that light fixture could have significant eBay sales value. Hocking it on eBay help pay whatever lawsuit may arise from the school's negligence.
They made $3,700. Those 50's kitchen cabinets from the Home Ec room were pretty cool and good sellers. We got some stuff!
Nothing like good sturdy cabinets! Happy renovating, John. :-)
