Campaign Contributions Keep Rounds Flying High

I'm perusing M. Michael Rounds's campaign finance documents (because what else should one do with the first day of summer vacation?). An eager reader points out an expenditure on the Quarter 1 report: $1,860 paid to Hawk Leasing, LLC, on March 22 for airfare.

Hawk Leasing owns one airplane, a 1982 Beech C90, N333TL. Hawk Leasing, formerly Hawk Aviation, is one of M. Michael Rounds's companies.

I know, I know, flying an airplane costs money just like any other means of getting around. M. Michael paying himself to fly himself to some campaign event is probably no bigger deal than a candidate reimbursing himself or his aides for gas money to get to a Lincoln Day Dinner.

So keep those donations to Team Rounds coming, and keep Mike flying high!

Mike Rounds is a pilot, which I think is a good thing. And he's so incredibly clever he keeps finding someone else to pay for his flying addiction. Before it was the taxpayers. Now it's his senate campaign contributors. If he wins, it will be the taxpayers again footing the bill.
