Sweetman Chairs Powertech Hearing, Also Owns Meeting Room Chairs

Richard C. Sweetman will convene and chair the South Dakota Board of Minerals and Environment hearing on Powertech's large scale mine permit on Monday, September 23, at 10:00 a.m. MDT in the Sylvan Room at the Best Western Ramkota. Be forewarned, Powertech opponents: Chairman Sweetman will own the room.

No, really, Sweetman owns the room. Richard C. Sweetman is a longtime director and Chairman of the Board of the Ramkota Companies.

Now let's not huff. The BM&E is doing right by interested parties by moving this hearing to Rapid City from Pierre in the first place.

Plus, if you're attending the hearing and having trouble finding the bathroom or the bubbler, Chairman Sweetman should be able to point you in the right direction.

It's no longer about the uranium, it's about the water. That water is worth way more then the uranium could ever be to this company. If they ever get a permit to drill and use that water it is a simple mater to change from uranion to water and pay little or no taxes on their investment

How much is the state paying for the conference room at that Ramkota?

Somehow, this seems both unethical and a conflict of interest.

Another reason why South Dakota is considered the 3rd most corrupt state in the country.
