Rhoden Q4 Campaign Funds 90% West River

Kevin Woster reports that GOP U.S. Senate candidate is planning to head for East River to campaign. Better hurry up: Rhoden's Q4 FEC report shows he's sorely lacking in cash from his potential East River constituents.

Of , Rhoden has raised just $3,900 from East River... and if you go by Rhoden's definition of River as the James, that cuts out his cash from Pierre, Highmore, and maybe Huron. The East River culprits—er, contributors:

  • James Mehlhaff from Pierre: $150
  • Helen Peterson from Highmore: $1,000
  • Gene Phillips from Madison: $250
  • Kevin Schultz of Huron: $1,000
  • Marian Sullivan of Sioux Falls: $1,000
  • David Tennessen of Harrisburg: $250
  • Hal Wick of Sioux Falls: $250

That's 10.3% of Rhoden's Q4 take of $37,740.

Being solid in West River is important for a big finish in the primary, but if you can raise over $30K in West River, you should be able to raise a couple hundred K from East River.

Where does Rhoden's term intersect with Bendagate?

Rhoden isn't on the ballot, if he manages to fool enough Republicans into thinking he is a Conservative, his record as a 21 year Carter/Daschle/kneip/Sandlan/Weiland Democrat is going to sink him.

His juvenile comments in the legislature all these years calling Sioux Falls "Sewer falls" is going to alienate a lot more.

DD - good Hitler tactic; repeat the lies over and over; keep it simple and repeatable and then they'll believe it. And you hit two lies in one post. Great job!

Oops sorry! That was the story where Larry Rhoden was a 21 year registered Democrat and changed parties in a 2 to 1 registered Republican district months before running as a "lifelong conservative Reagan Republican" even though he was an admitted Liberal Carter Democrat whom he voted for AGAINST Ronald Reagan.

This is the story and SOS records that show Larry Rhoden voted for liberal Democrats as a dedicated Democrat in the Democrat primaries where the only candidates Larry Rhoden could vote for were Democrats: https://madvilletimes.com/2014/02/larry-rhoden-once-and-future-rick-weiland-voter/

DD - don't get too excited now. That shows he voted one year, not who he voted for or what he was voting on or if he voted at all. If you think you can get the politically savvy to think you can look at someone's ballot and see who/what they voted for, you better hang it up. This proves nothing other than he went to the voting booth. And yes, Cory is well aware of that, I'm sure.

Perhaps his neighbor was running for Commissioner that year...

And back to the relevancy of this article, it appears his west river folks contributing to him certainly approve of what he's doing and I'm guessing they're about all Republicans! See, people don't care what people did 20+ years ago (well, maybe a felony would be of interest). When running for an office like this, people are interested in what you've done lately. It seems to be of no interest to anyone but you and maybe two others. Get over it already.

Larry Rhoden lied about being a "lifelong conservative Reagan Republican" as recent as the last year when he made that comment at event I was at and he was attempting to fool conservatives into thinking he is one of us.

The only lies being told are by lying liberal Larry Rhoden.

Who was the Democrat County Commissioner candidate LLLR voted for? Rick Weiland? Better check your lies "TG" You said before Larry "voted only for Republicans" for 21 years after voting against Ronald Reagan for Jimmy Carter.

Should we ask some of the (R) Sioux Falls legislators that served with Larry, in public and on the record, if they recall hearing Larry Rhoden make such juvenile comments? Wait till that audio recording makes its way to the public. Let's let Larry and you lie some more about it like you did with his voting record, than hang that lie around your necks with the others.

  7. TG 2014.02.23

Yes, please ask those legislators and please post the audio. He has been a lifelong conservative. Pro-life? Check. Fiscally responsible? Check. And many more.

I don't know what the ballot looked like and I don't really care what happened 20+ years ago. Like most people, I have trouble keeping up with the present!

Keep up your lying if it makes you feel good. Everyone has their 'thing'.
