Bosworth Breaks Law Again, Solicits Campaign Donations from Foreigner

Last updated on 2014.05.12

...because she's run out of suckers in America?

We've already caught Annette Bosworth committing perjury by swearing a false petition circulator's oath. Now comes evidence that Bosworth is violating federal campaign finance rules by soliciting donations overseas.

Conrad Longmore is a British citizen and blogger. He reports receiving a campaign finance pitch from the Bosworth campaign. Longmore traces the pitch to Bosworth and not random spam regurgitation with the following digital forensic evidence:

The spam originates from two18.2bits.co (63.143.38.243) and spamvertises a site at marketer.2bits.co (63.143.38.226). Both these IPs are allocated to Limestone Networks in the US, but are suballocated to a customer called Joseph (Joey) Burzynski of ResistedNormalcy LLC and/or MarketKar.ma in Dallas. The email is digitally signed for the domain bosworthcampaign.com which has hidden WHOIS details [Conrad Longmore, "Dr. Annette Bosworth Is a Moron Spammer," Dynamoo's Blog, 2014.05.09].

Multiple sources have confirmed that Joey Burzynski has worked for Bosworth and her husband Chad Haber on other Web efforts to raise their profile. Those sources include Bosworth and Haber themselves, on Burzynski's LinkedIn profile:

Clients Annette Bosworth and Chad Haber recommend Joey Burzynski on LinkedIn, spring 2013.
Clients Annette Bosworth and Chad Haber recommend Joey Burzynski on LinkedIn, spring 2013.

Bosworth may not like being micromanaged, but Burzynski might have wanted to inform his client of federal campaign finance regulation 11 CFR 110.20(g):

No person shall knowingly solicit, accept, or receive from a foreign national any contribution or donation prohibited by paragraphs (b) through (d) of this section.

Bosworth has spoken of accepting responsibility for her team's actions. Joey Burzynski is part of Team Bosworth. Team Bosworth asked Conrad Longmore for campaign cash. Conrad Longmore is a foreign national. Therefore, Annette Bosworth just broke federal law.

Mr. U.S. Attorney, if you must wait until June 4 to indict, I'd have a couple extra agents at Joe Foss Field, just in case.

Update 2014.05.12 17:25 CDT: Another blog reports receiving spam from the Bosworth campaign via a private e-mail address that could only have been obtained via the recent hacking of Adobe.com.

    This woman knows no boundaries.

The obvious question for me is, given that fact that she purchased her Facebook likes, how many of those are foreign nationals?

And an even larger question, how much has she received from foreign nationals and can those contributions be traced?

  2. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.11

I imagine a U.S. Attorney armed with a search warrant could trace those contributions through the receipts and bank records in Chad and Annette's office and computers.

  3. mikeyc, that's me 2014.05.11

    Resisted Normalcy LLC? That's ironic.

  4. Rhino Lynn 2014.05.11

It looks like based on the Chanette campaign facebook page many facebook users are getting seriously spammed. A few have asked Annette to remove them from their spam list and wondered how they got their info.

I didn't see any commenters from South Dakota.

John Norton is the only consistent commenter.

If Conrad Longmore is being spammed in the UK for campaign donations what other International spams are being sent out for donations.

  5. DeeJay Beejr 2014.05.11

After voting as soon as the polls open, Chanetes will leave the state. Probably hide out, check election results and fly out of Omaha or Mnsp around midnight ... After learning she lost.

  6. grudznick 2014.05.11

It may just have been an accident. I wonder how many candidates for the legislatures or school boards would have known about that law. People will probably view this as nitpicking and piling on. I wonder what the penalty is. 20 lashes with a coat hanger?

  7. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.11

Not amusing grudz, voters fully expect candidates to know campaign laws.

It was not by accident grudz, it is about greed when it comes to Bozworth.

  8. grudznick 2014.05.11

Mr. C, do you really think the young woman is dumb enough to know about an arcane law saying you can't have Englishmen donate to you and then go out and email Englishmen specifically and ask them to give money? She has to know her other possible transgressions are teetering on the brink of having the police knock on her door. If she did this on purpose and not by mistake maybe she really is a suitable case for treatment.

  9. CK 2014.05.11

She technically is a doctor, so she must know something. And if she claims to be informed....Than why should she not know about this law? I knew about it, and I guarantee I didn't spend near what she sid on higher ed.

  10. CK 2014.05.11

Stupid autocorrect...I meant did, not sid.

  11. Nick Nemec 2014.05.11

Grud, it's not an arcane law. I've contributed to Federal candidates over the years and a standard statement made on the contribution form goes something like this "non-US citizens can't contribute to political campaigns for Federal offices, are you a US citizen?"

  12. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.11

    grudz,

Ignorance of the law is not a defense, regardless of whether it arcane or not.
Mental illness is not a defense, unless you have been declared insane or not fit to stand trial.
I don't know that this is a arcane law or not, in fact it seems to me to be pretty important. Taking money from foreign nationals could very easily seriously compromise a candidate/politicians.
If campaign contributions are coming from terrorists organization or other enemies of this country there exist the opportunity for extortion or worse.

  13. grudznick 2014.05.11

Well, sirs, then if she did it slap her in hand cuffs and make her wear Che shirts on the road gang.

  14. WestRiver 2014.05.11

In the rest of the message the writer also states that Channette is violating the rules of Fundly.com where she is also requesting funds but that he won't push it since she hasn't received more than $1150 toward her $750,000 goal.

  15. David Newquist 2014.05.11

In her message, she joins those who seem to have no idea why ACA was proposed and what it addresses. The British blogger reminds us:

"It seems that she's a Doctor of some sort, but she opposes affordable healthcare. As a European we are constantly amazed and horrified at the way US healthcare professionals just let people die when the money runs out of their insurance policy.. if they have an insurance policy. Until Obama forced changes to the US healthcare system through it was 100 years behind that in Europe. Now it is only 80 years or so behind. Progress I guess."

  16. Rhino Lynn 2014.05.11

Does anyone know who is behind the Praying for Dr. Bosworth Community Facebook Page? https://www.facebook.com/prayersforbosworth

All of this is including the main campaign sites are just nauseating knowing it is all fake and is just being used as a tool.

  17. larry kurtz 2014.05.11

South Dakota's Screech Palin. Brilliant strategy, Mr. Wadhams: now you've got the liberal blogs distracted from your fat, white, corporate fascist candidate.

  18. WestRiver 2014.05.11

The Channette Machine is not going to solicit money from just one source. They are using Spam, they are using email, they are using Fundly.com, they are using FB, they are using Voters Edge, they are using patrickdavisconsulting.com, bosworthforsenate.com, transaxt.com, annettebosworth.com her blog, twitter, another fondly account called joinchadhaberintheraisingoffundsforannettebosworth, mccookcountyfordrannettebosworth on FB, Chad Haber on FB, her kids' FB pages, foursquare, npntestfeed.com.blogspot.com and several others. You can bet they aren't reporting all of the funds coming in from these either. It's all a scam/sham Chanette style.

  19. CK 2014.05.11

I would bet it's the Bosworth campaign running that page...perhaps that John Norton. It's just an attempt at shoveling her brand of religion down our throats.

  20. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.11

    Rhino Lynn

I tried that link, praying for Bosworth, and damn, Chad has me banned from their too.

  21. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.11

In addition, as Mr. Longmore and WR point out, Bosworth has violated the terms of service of Fundly, which say that a "User must not... send junk email or spam to people who do not wish to receive mail from User...." It sounds like all the professionals have jumped ship, and Chad and Annette are back to fending for themselves, flailing about with whatever wild scheme jumps to mind without checking the rules or thinking they'll get caught breaking the rules. This ends badly.

  22. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.11

Does Bosworth still use base connect?

It seems a little odd that these fund raising operations would require an exclusive appointment preventing her campaign from contracting with another operation.

Does Peter know what Paul's doing?

  23. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.11

"Arcane," Grudz? Is that the best you've got? Nick is spot on (Nick, why are you not on everyone's campaign staff?): this FEC rule is basic candidate intelligence, not Level 29 Dungeons and Dragons secrets. The "no foreign donors" rule certainly wasn't arcane in 2012, when the GOP spin machine made great hay of the potential for Obama's awesome website to draw foreign donors and when Team Obama made darn sure their website included a warning that foreign donors were not allowed. Bosworth's spam and Fundly site include no such warning. Good thing we're here to educate Annette. Too bad she's notoriously bad at listening to anyone other than Chad and the God-complex in her head.

  24. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.11

No, Roger, Base Connect probably has no idea or control over this spam effort. Team Bosworth is losing it, going ape as reality crashes in—employees and former allies bailing, press getting wise, donors drying up, and more cops than voters coming their way—and now trying everything in a desperate attempt to squeeze the last dollars out of this latest scam.

  25. Jon 2014.05.11

Chad must be working overtime. I left a comment on their newest prayforannettebosworth page and was blocked in about 30 seconds lol. Must suck to have to sit there and constantly delete comments and block people for damage control 24/7

  26. Deb Geelsdottir 2014.05.11

I wonder if wonderful Joey, whom Channette so dearly love, knows he's not going to be paid whatever it is they agreed on? Poor dope.

  27. Joe K 2014.05.12

Jon, its not like he has anything else to do... Most of us are getting ready for work tomorrow morning. Chad, well.. not so much.

  28. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.12

Cory, I suppose you're right in your last comment.

It's crunch time for Bosworth, not to get votes but to milk every vulnerable Christian in the world for a few bucks.

It is amazing the number of people she is blocking from Facebook this evening.

  29. Dave Baumeister 2014.05.12

Let's see how long I stay up. I just posted that what Annette is doing to use the name of the Lord to further her own ambition is blasphemy. I think her Christian followers will understand that! But I don't think it will be there long. Unless of course Chad doesn't sleep!

  30. Dave Baumeister 2014.05.12

4 minutes!! Jon, you're right, Haber got that one off in the time it took me to post my last comment here and go back. I will have to see if I an now blocked from posting more.

  31. Dave Baumeister 2014.05.12

I was wrong, the posit is still there, it just shows up in a section called "recent posts by others." It is small and has to be clicked on to expand and read, but it is there.

  32. Wayne 2014.05.12

I live in Germany and am even not a US Citizen, yet I got the email your article refers to. Perhaps she should have checked §7 of the UWG before pressing the send button?! By sending the email, she has, in terms of German *and* EU law, violated my constitutional right to privacy, as I had *not* provided my email address to her; 2bits.co or marketkar.ma.

  33. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.12

Wayne, thanks for confirming that Bosworth's spam isn't just a one-off error, but apparently something larger. I welcome your contacting the FEC and your local law enforcement.

  34. Rhino Lynn 2014.05.12

Maybe the International campaign fundraising spam although illegal is priming all these contacts, e-mail recipients, facebook friends whatever for a post election future charity. The Holy Chanette version of Doctors without Borders. It would be in a country that does not have an extradition treaty with the US.

Post election: Flight risk, service as a Rounds Decoy complete and a new lucrative income scheme far away from the US and SD Justice system.

  35. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.12

Good grief: they really have gone back to their old habit of throwing up websites all scattershot thinking that a bigger Net will draw more Google juice, attention, and donors/marks:

    https://fundly.com/chad-haber-join-annette-bosworth-md-for-u-s-senate

It's as if, in the face of growing awareness of and opposition to their ill-doings, Chad and Annette feel like they have to do something, anything, and so they are reverting to past, familiar behavior... even if that erratic, unorganized behavior doesn't work.

  36. WestRiver 2014.05.12

Annette, her sister and their children are back home at the farm this weekend. Chad is definitely not with them so what else does he have to do but sit at home and post on the Internet and delete everybody's posts? They hire three or four people to sit there and delete and add posts. Quite insane.

  37. Doctor not Bricklayer 2014.05.12

One of the things that fascinates and saddens me about all of this is how blatantly obvious their scam is.

She supposedly is the second leading candidate in terms of campaign funds and donations, and is also begging for more money in any way she and her husband know how on top of all of this. Yet, her entire campaign consists of lame You Tube videos and assinine and juvinile posts and "shares" on Facebook. By now, I would suspect to be bombarded with uber-slick TV and radio ads, full page newspaper ads and the like 24/7. Currently, I would estimate that she is spending approximately zero dollars and zero cents on her campaign.

Obviously, anyone who has donated to her has no intrest or idea what she is doing with her money. I hope the feds are watching her closely, although whatever Base Connect will end up doing to her and Chad when they do not receive their 75% back will be far worse than anything the federal government can dish out.

  38. Troy 2014.05.12

Question: Isn't the issue on whether a crime was committed, did she solicit a person she KNEW was a foreign national? Sending out emails to lists which might include foreign nationals might not pass the test of "knowingly."

  39. Dave Baumeister 2014.05.12

My post was deleted by this morning. It does seem Chad sleeps, though. But and I am truly crushed), I, too, am now blocked from posting!! But to DNB, I have a friend whose grandmother, when she was in her 90s was still living in her own home. The biggest problem was not taking away her car, it was having all of her mail forwarded to one of the three grandkids. It seemed that Caroline was on several lists and would send in money to whomever asked. These are the types of people the good Christian Dr. Boz and her husband Mr. Boz-oh are preying on now. They are truly evil and need to be put behind bars.

  40. Conrad Longmore 2014.05.12

Heheh.. I am the blogger in question. When I posted the article to Twitter, someone else posted back this article - http://blog.joshnotes.com/email-annette-bosworth-us-senate/ - which says that the email address in question had been stolen from the Adobe data breach.

The comments on my blog post (http://blog.dynamoo.com/2014/05/dr-annette-bosworth-is-moron-spammer.html) show that someone in Finland also got the same spam. Quite a few people have been Googling "Annette Bosworth spam" too.

On the issue of healthcare though.. it is a source of grim amusement in Europe that there should be all this fuss over healthcare. In almost all European countries, healthcare is provided by the government (sometime in partnership with private companies). People in Europe pay a lot less for healthcare than people in the US, and they get a better standard of care overall. The system is not perfect, and all European countries do it in different ways.. but in most countries people are not afraid of getting sick.

  41. Wayne 2014.05.12

@caheidelberger I've reported it to IT (since the email came to my work address). I'll wait to hear what they say.
I do work for a US registered company and so my guess is they assumed anyone at my work email domain is based in the US (which is headcount-wise ~40% true).

  42. Rhino Lynn 2014.05.12

    Hello Conrad,

Thank you for commenting on the blog! Personally I wish out health system was more like those in Europe or in Canada. I feel public access to good healthcare is a basic human right. Medical bankruptcies shouldn't be happening here unless it was for some type of elective cosmetic surgery.

It's interesting to watch the political healthcare discussion here in the US and how the opposition would slam the healthcare systems provided by our European allies and North American neighbor knowing what corporate interests are behind all of it.

This fake campaign is more of a money making scheme.

  43. Josh 2014.05.12

Does it violate the CAN-SPAM Act? The fines are $16,000 per spam email.

  44. Jenny 2014.05.12

This is just so totally fascinating. I believe you, Rhino Lynn. This was a money making scheme from the start. Can it get anymore bizarre, and when are they going to be behind bars?

  45. Conrad Longmore 2014.05.12

The twobits.co sites are down I notice.

Oh yes, and the Fundly campaign just accepted $10 from me and I am a foreign national who is not resident in the United States. You should be able to see me on the donors page - bit.ly/1mSA6rW

  46. Jon 2014.05.12

Lol I love it Conrad! This whole sham of a candidacy gets better with time.. I can't wait for the federal indictment! Lol I bet they are peeing their pants right about.... Now. Haha truly epic and hilarious! Outstanding work everybody!

  47. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.12

There were an extraordinary amount of people on twitter today protesting the spam attack from Bosworth.

  48. Deb Geelsdottir 2014.05.12

I checked out your website Mr. Longmore. I'll have to visit more often for spam/virus/malicious warnings. This Chanette spam fits right in with the rest of the trash you keep an eye on. Thank you.

  49. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.12

Troy, you ask a fair question about "knowingly". Does a candidate have an obligation to vet the mailing list (in this case, an e-mail list perhaps originally required through illegal hacking) and place warnings on the donation site to wave off foreigners?

  50. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.12

Josh, good CAN-SPAM Act question.. but alas! CAN-SPAM only applies to commercial speech. Remember who wrote the Act....

  51. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.12

So, now we know that Bosworth accepted a campaign contribution from foreign national Conrad Longmore. Does she now have to return it, she surely should know that it is against the law by now.

Cory, doesn't "knowingly" belong in the same category as ignorance is no defense of the law?

  52. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.12

Press release blog just announced that Bosworth is holding a press conference tomorrow morning at 9:00am in Sioux Falls.

Any wagers what it is about?

  53. Josh 2014.05.12

@caheidelberger: isn't asking for money commercial?

Check out the latest update on this post:
    http://blog.joshnotes.com/email-annette-bosworth-us-senate/

    Summary:

    * Email was sent to email address possibly via the Adobe.com hacked list
    * Hairyspire might be pirated software, which is strange considering that the emails appear to be related to an SEO company with major clients.
    * Emails appear to be sent via 2bits.co, which appears to have been using the 2bits.com logo without permission. That might indicate an attempt to impersonate another company to mask activity that they knew was wrong.

    Needs more investigation.

  54. WestRiver 2014.05.12

Really Roger? Where in Sioux Falls??

  55. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.12

    West River,
Presser is at 5000 S. Minnesota Ave. Is that Meaningful Medicine? I don't where that is.

What do you think it is about?

  56. WestRiver 2014.05.13

Roger: It's at her clinic if that's the address. No idea what it's going to be about. Can't make my mind settle on the hundreds of things it could be!

  57. Joe K. 2014.05.13

Watch her newest daily devotional on her facebook page. Seems like something is going to be announced tomorrow, but who knows what. Start watching at 4:50 into the video, up until 5:20... In her words, there is going to be fireworks...

  58. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.13

Josh, it's not commercial if its asking for money for a political campaign. Of course, Bosworth is going to pocket that money and use it for personal purposes.

Joe, that video was posted four hours ago from Minneapolis. Is Bosworth driving back overnight for a press conference at 9 a.m. in Sioux Falls? Or are she and Chad getting on a plane and fleeing prosecution?

  59. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.13

The text posted above that video: "God, I confess to You how easily distracted I can become by things that will eventually fade away. Today give me the desire to seek You, Your Kingdom, and Your righteousness. — at Minnehaha Falls Park." Is the campaign about to fade away?

  60. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.13

    Cory,

You do know that she is going to blame you for collapsing her campaign tomorrow.

  61. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.13

She's smiling in this video, different from the stressed scowling in last week's interview with KELO. "So having an opportunity where the voice carries further in a political arena was beyond my imagination." was? Past tense?

"I have loved getting to know South Dakota over these last 9-10 months."

The fireworks line is generic. The "please sit still long to try and understand what's happening" suggests the news will be something hard to explain or hard to spin.

  62. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.13

Roger, we will not be treated to any such satisfaction. But were she to say such a thing... well, would she be right? Was the little boy in the street guilty of sending the emperor out naked?

  63. student 2014.05.13

How great would it be if no one showed up to the press conference

  64. Dave Baumeister 2014.05.13

I read the posts last night, and I mad the assumption, as you all seem to, that this press conference at Falls Park in Sioux Falls. I didn't catch Cory saying she posted her video from Minneapolis. There is a Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis. Somewhere in the New Brighton area. Could that be where she means? Is she going to make an announcement and them flee from the international airport?
    http://www.nps.gov/miss/planyourvisit/minnehah.htm

  65. student 2014.05.13

My money is on her making her presidential exploratory committee announcement.

  66. Rick 2014.05.13

Minnehaha Falls is in south Minneapolis ... not far from MSP International Airport.

  67. Rhino Lynn 2014.05.13

Where are you getting this about Minneapolis? I believe she made a mistake and intended to say Falls Park. Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis is very different and straight down off a cliff from the gradual falls of falls park. I think she simply mispoke

  68. CK 2014.05.13

Here is my prediction of how the press conference will go:

Annette will again claim she is being attacked by an out-of-state left wing blogger and the entrenched power.

If asked, she will not address any questions regarding the questionable petition signatures and the campaign finance/solicitation tactics.

She will make attempt to say something wishy-washy about her upbringing in Plankinton (perhaps in reference to her spending the Mother's Day weekend back there) and try to make some analogy between her sham of a campaign, her bible and God.

Nothing of importance, I bet. No fireworks, just the same bla, bla, bla.

  69. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.13

Much as I want there to be excitement, my money leans toward CK's prediction. The only fireworks will come when Mike Myers drops in to do push-ups.

  70. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.13

Rhino Lynn, I wondered about that, but the location on the Facebook post said "Minneapolis." Her FB post is confusing.

  71. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.13

Conrad, you are very good. Thanks!

  72. Rhino Lynn 2014.05.13

I still think that link on her FB page to Minnehaha Falls is an error. They have someone monitoring that page deleting all the negative posts 24/7 so it could be due to fatigue. I guess we will find out.

  73. Jenny 2014.05.13

She's too much of a narcissist to step down. From what it sounds like in her latest video, it'll be a pray for America fest.

  74. CK 2014.05.13

I think the fundly post has been taken down.

Is anyone covering the "press conference," such as KELO, KSFY, or KDLT?

  75. Dave Baumeister 2014.05.13

If she was in Minneapolis when she posted the news about her press conference, as Cory says, it just seems too coincidental. I've lived in Sioux Falls since 1963, and I have never heard Falls Park referred to as "Minnehaha Falls Park." But the first thought I had immediately upon reading the earlier post was "Minneapolis?" When I later reread the posts to see the info of where it was posted, I wondered if my first thought wasn't correct. Channette knows the net is tightening. So she makes the announcement now in a way to make people think she is going to be giving a news conference in Sioux Falls, but in reality, she will be five hours away. "I have tried to do God's work in this campaign, but the left-wingers are driving have been distorted my life and record so much that I am dropping out of the US Senate race and will be going to Haiti where I can continue to do God's work helping others." Then she/he jumps on a plane and is gone before anyone can stop her. Do I sound crazy? I guess we will know sometime after 9 a.m. Really, I was never so conspiracy minded until I started reading this blog!!!

  76. Dave Baumeister 2014.05.13

I just found the "devotion" from yesterday. Cory, how do you know it was posted from Minneapolis? I didn't see that on the post I looked at today. Could they have home back and changed their settings to mask that?

  77. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.13

Screen shot sent to me had "Minneapolis" at top. My own view showed the same lack of location. Different user settings?

  78. SDBlue 2014.05.13

It appears our fake Senate candidate does not know the difference between Minnehaha Falls Park in Minneapolis and Falls Park in Sioux Falls. Her latest daily devotional sure looks like Falls Park. She brags about spending all that campaign money, but she cannot shoot a video without the noise of the wind. I guess all that money is for direct mail and Chad is the videographer.

  79. Conrad Longmore 2014.05.13

"The real solution to hunger is independence."

Yeah. Ask the people of South Sudan about that. Or am I being too literal?

  80. Les 2014.05.13

Somewhere Kurtz said it best."only in SD........" I can't remember all of his wisdom.
    .
Nannette is going above and beyond the call of duty. The primary is almost totally high jacked, with our help of course.

Wow.. and she published a semi-literate speech that could definitely have done with a quick spell-check: "dependancy" .. "I’m hear to tell". And also "I’m the Obama administration’s worst nightmare" isn't entirely true, as I think having her as a candidate for the Republicans would almost definitely guarantee a Democrat victory :)

Les, Larry and others are right. The Channette Circus is a potent distraction to the real threat we face. What a great Decoy with so much entertainment and drama. Rounds and his buddies on the East Coast are probably chomping on a few cuban cigars laughing and watching the show knowing everything is going according to plan.

Bosworth says all those employees whom she stiffed were falling short on "performance measures" and that "everyone on my team has had sacrifices." So she appears to be admitting she didn't pay people their promised wages. She's just calling them lazy bums.

I would say that "performance measures" for her campaign staff should include making sure they don't take foreign donations and don't buy e-mail lists from hackers.

"Performance measures" would have to be spelled out in employee contracts, if any. We know the nurse practitioner had a contract for $80,000/year (or there about), Cory have you seen the contract? Does it include a list of performance measures? I would assume employees without contracts could not legally be paid less than minimum wage and failure to meet "performance measures" could not lower the wage to any rate lower than the legal minimum. The question of paying withholding taxes to the IRS has yet to be asked and answered.

Conrad, do let us know when/if Team Bosworth refunds your donation. Has she sent you a receipt for the transaction? My readers would love to see that document.

Conrad, how much do you want to bet that you will somehow be the first donor to "helphealhunger"! Funny that so many foreign donors are helping to end hunger via the Bosworth campaign all of the sudden!

Nope, press conference was not a precursor to have country. I liked the part about "performance measures." If employees don't con enough people out of money or do other illegal things, they haven't met the "performance measures."

I wonder what sort of "performance measures" the Mafia uses?

Performance Level. If an employee isn't doing the work as well as they should, the first thing you do is provide additional training.
If performance level continues to be poor after training, it can be the basis for termination of the employee or that the employee has violated his/her contract.
The employer is still required to pay the employee until they are officially terminated.
Often times in these situations an employer will offer a severance package if there weren't gross violations of their performance.
I doubt Bosworth knows what a severance package is, except when it would apply to her.

So was that the gist of her press conference? Trying to blame employees for being cheated out of their pay? That's it?

    What a dud.
