Robinson Touts Military Service, Family, Cat in Campaign Video

Holy cow! As Kevin Woster notes, with all the trumpets sounding around Rick Weiland and all the dynamite going off around Mike Rounds (Republicans, Stace Nelson would have been above 40%), the House race isn't getting much attention.

For a brief diversion, here's Corinna Robinson's (homemade?) campaign video:

.

Rep. Noem goes for the horse vote; Robinson goes for the cat vote!

But I've got to point out one problem: around 1:24, when Robinson says, "Not everyone in South Dakota is as fortunate," the zooming slide seems to show her with Senator Tim Johnson, Democratic Lieutenant Governor candidate Susy Blake, and just maybe, off the left, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Susan Wismer. I'm not sure the text and the image are talking to each other.

KOCH'S AFP mailed false voter and registration info (its a felony) to NC voters, AND TO ONE CAT, so Corrina rightly stands for SD, all south dakotans, in her stand against bought-and-paid-for big dark money funded SDGOP w/no ethics.

I liked the commercial. The only thing I thought was odder than most was her sitting there stroking an animal the whole time to garner the pet lover vote. Otherwise it was a fine commercial and that is the most I heard the young woman talk since she and Mr. Nelson were whispering before the "debate" on KILI radio.

Mike Rounds actually released a video with his cat, taken in his campaign office today, http://youtu.be/iD-j4eIjQ5c

Children and animals are natural born appeals, so that is why they are used in many commercials, fundraisers, and etc.

That may be right, Ms. Jeni. Your idea makes me think even higher of Ms. Robinson's commercial. It is among the best I have seen.

Corinna Robinson is an American hero! I hope she can run this spot on every TV station in the state. If people see it and spend a sober moment in reflection, Ms. Robinson will be our next United States Representative

In South Dakota we admire hard work, military service and intelligence.

Why would we settle for a cell phone chatting, exotic vacationing to China, fund raising is more important than the country, do nothing show pony?

    We deserve better than that!

    Go Corinna!

Jeff, let's be honest: this ad is KDLT late-night quality at best. The content is solid—patriotism, sterling military record, family, etc.—but the style and quality need an upgrade. This ad looks like a Windows Movie Maker class project. The audio has to be cleaned up (hear that home-video hiss throughout?).

That said, the low quality of the video does not compare to the low quality of Kristi Noem's work as a Congresswoman. Vote Corinna!
