Madison Lands Sexy (Sexist?) Manufacturer

The Governor's Office of Economic Development and Madison's Lake Area Improvement Corporation score another coup, bringing Iowa sexy bra manufacturer Best Darn Guns (should a company really force us to swear?) to town:

In a brilliant example of vertical (or is it horizontal, or cross-your-heart?) integration, the LAIC announces it is also bringing the closely associated Wilt Manufacturing, whose subsidiary Wilt Wire and Fabrication does something with Wire EDM, which is obviously connected to the the supporting industry of making underwires.

Or not. Once I get past the crass and gratuitous disembodiment and oversexualization of the female body, I realize Best Darn Guns makes gun parts. But their advertising makes clear the real psychology behind South Dakota's gun nuttery. Carrying guns and now building local economic development makes us real men and gets us action.

Welcome to South Dakota, Best Darn Guns and Wilt Manufacturing! We look forward to your billboards.

What is the white logo with the word "GUNS" on it supposed to represent?

The logo appears to represent the "b" and "d" of the namesake, but it's terribly confusing and somewhat messy as so far as design. It does also seem to mirror a double barrel shotgun, or a bra in some respects, and when combined with the webpage imagery, that might not be all that unintentional. I'd suggest a logo redesign, but with the braintrust behind the given name of such a company, I'd probably be right to assume we're not dealing with a company concerned with graphic design, more so it's a company concerned with graphic violence that just has a lousy logo and poor web presence.

GOED has been spending a lot of tax payer money going to the big gun convention for how long now?

Maybe the headline should read "10 years of Luring Gun Companies and all We Got is Cleavage"

Anybody know what we spend on this long recruitment effort and what companies have come to South Dakota because of it?

Well I wan't very nice there...sorry Best Damn Gun!

Now you need to help the GOED bring more companies that you can sell to into the state.

Well, its Thursday. After a little over a week, and having read over a thousand post across the country, its time to jack it up a little.

I had remembered this song. It was an old Clapton tune and it kind a fit what was happening to the dems around the country, but South Dakota in pirticular. Funny thing was, the very first version i found was this, http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=d5x0C-ie0ZI.
I have never seen this many people have this much fun at the same time on stage. Its called "Tearing us apart." This here is dance music so get off that stinkin chair, crank it up loud, and dance!

    Isnt that better?

No more blue funk, just a smile.

    The Blindman

Blindman, I really enjoy your taste in music. The Clapton link reminded me of Clapton's admiration and attempted emulation of Freddie King. Thanks!
