Republican Representative Stace Nelson, currently of District 25, proudly announces on his Facebook page that his neighbors have filed petitions with 171 signatures to place him on the ballot for State House in the newly drawn District 19. (He only needed 50 signers.) And indeed, Secretary of State Gant confirms that Nelson is the first to file for Legislature from District 19.
So there you go, Republicans: you'll still have Stace Nelson to kick you around... unless you think you can find a better Republican who can stand up to Nelson and the great kolache machine to the south...
