If it's February, it's time for Kristi to fly to California!
Last February, Rep. Kristi Noem took a break from the grind of flying back to the farm to instead attend a swanky Laguna Beach cocktail party. This year, Rep. Noem is heading back for more California schmoozing, this time with the Lincoln Club of Orange County. From the LCOS website:

$40 for non-members? Not bad... although it suggests how much Kristi's stock drops when she's not accompanied by someone with real power, like Speaker John Boehner, whose pix-and-pancakes appearance with Noem last summer in Sioux Falls was worth $500 a head.
But check out the fine folks Kristi is picking over the crowd that evening. Members of the Lincoln Club pay $3900 a year for the privilege of networking and closed-door discussions with our leaders as they limit government, lower taxes, and expand (their own) freedom. I can't find current membership dues for the Pacific Club, but back in 1987, folks paid a $12,500 membership fee and $195 monthly fee for the privilege of feeling better than their neighbors. In 2006, about 700 members paid $2.78 million in membership dues and assessments.
