Madville Times Video Feature: Lawrence County GOP Candidates Forum

Enjoy exclusive video of last night's Lawrence County GOP Candidates Forum, brought to you by the Madville Times!

See Lawrence County Commission candidate Steven Rosenberger warn of a United Nations takeover, Mayanesque economic catastrophe, and a Meade County Commission terrorizing citizens with an effort to ban hunting, home school, and backyard gardens. See Lawrence County Commissioner Terry Weisenberg show that if the election doesn't go well, he's ready to be the next Don Rickles.

Hear District 31 House candidate John Teupel repeatedly say "bidness" without irony. Watch District 31 House candidate Gary Coe establish his credentials as the next Joe McCarthy by declaring he was raised in a socialist family, then found the GOP and GOD, now has "no compromise in my life whatsoever," and warns that "progressives" reject the Constitution and the Bible.

Witness District 31 Senator Tom Nelson wreck Kristi Noem's platform by declaring that federal stimulus worked in South Dakota. See Nelson's challenger Bob Ewing* declare that gambling has destroyed Deadwood as a town.

It's an hour and thirty-eight minutes of great local politics. Watch, enjoy, and share with your neighbors!

*Update 20:35 MDT: The original version of this story misattributed the gambling destroyed Deadwood quote to Gary Coe, who neither said such a thing nor is challenging Senator Nelson for his seat. In its uncompromising search for truth, the Madville Times regrets and rectifies the error.

rather than attending gatherings of earth haters i just hit my thumb with a hammer: that way i know why it hurts.

To his credit Rosenberger has some interesting facial hair.
Or is that a weasel attacking his lip?

oh: for the days when walking into Saloon #10 meant watching Daryl Johnson suck lines of coke up his nose off the bar....

Haven't I been saying the SDGOP Establishent is implementing Obama's agenda. Cory, they probably have a spot for you , since you are good at attacking Christian Conservatives.

Nick: that facial hair channels the drool into a cup in his vest pocket.

That facial hair identifies Rosenburger as a Republican as sure as a Gordon Howie for Senate button. Witness Mr. Martinmaas who just joined Republicans for McGovern. And who could forget 2010 governor candidate ... what's his name? Rhymes with ... oh yeah - Knuppe.

Speaking of facial hair, Tim Johns shaved off his long-time Chuck Norris just-for-men beard to run for the legislature. Now he's unrecognizable as the government chair-warming, lifelong taxpayer salary collecting guy who passed judgment on so many of the folks whose votes he's now seeking.

There are 24,000 people in Lawrence County because Tim Johns/Chuck Norris allows them to live!

Tom Nelson resembles that remark, too, R. It would be funny if it wasn't so ethically odious.

Some of those fellows seem like swell candidates for Lawrence county.

Sibby, I'm not convinced the Establishment GOP likes me any better than your wing of the party. If anything, your wing and I have more of that odd Paul-Kucinich overlap... given that we'd both like to see and overthrow of the powers that be.
