Jackley Confirms: Violent DCI Agent on Administrative Leave

Scott Waltman reports that DCI agent Mark Black is temporarily out of a job:

An Aberdeen-based state Division of Criminal Investigation agent whose former wife is seeking a protection order against him has been put on administrative leave, Attorney General Marty Jackley confirmed Friday.

“Mark Black has been placed upon administrative leave pending the resolution of his personal civil litigation and/or our independent personnel review,” Jackley said in a statement [Scott Waltman, "DCI Agent Placed on Leave by Officials," Aberdeen American News, 2014.03.01].

Black admits a history of violent behavior toward his wife. The volatile behavior documented in his ex-wife's application for the protection order suggests an independent personnel review to determine this agent's fitness to wield the power of the state is warranted.

I wish I could get administrative leave. I would saddle up and head on down to Costa Rica for some fun and games and leave this snow behind. It must be good to be held in such high esteem by your political party that they would use tax payer moolah to cover your expenses while you play. Hell it kind of worked for Benda so why not?
