Reporter Bob Mercer snarks out on Rep. Stace Nelson (R-19/Fulton) for invoking Mercer's name in defense of Nelson's proposed amendment to SB 235, the economic development omnibus bill:
The amendment wasn’t even on the mark regarding my blog post, which in part called for a public hearing before the Board of Economic Development makes a discretionary decision to give money away, as a reinvestment payment aka tax refund, under the legislation, SB 235. I wish I could write what I really think about Rep. Stace Nelson right now. I really, really do. Instead I will move on [Bob Mercer, "Fool Me Once... w/Update," Pure Pierre Politics, 2013.03.05].
Rep. Nelson posts the amendment in question and "apologizes":
My apologies for calling attention to your writings, and for calling you a “genius” [Rep. Stace Nelson, comment, Pure Pierre Politics, 2013.03.05].

Hey Mercer, you don't know what your talking about all the time.In the daily republic dated feb.25,2013 you stated a giant fight under way regarding health care!! HB 1140 is a revolutionary piece of legislation in multiple ways. If you knew what you were writing about you would know that HB 1140 deals with farm wineries!!!!!!
My opinion is that Mr. Nelson has forgot more than you will ever have in the balcony!!!!!!
Mr. Klouchek is trying to agitate all the other journalists from the media against that reporter by asking why young Mr. Nelson only singles out his friend for praise and as a source for legislating bills.
Mr. Klouchek is trying to get the media on his side for his next politicking run.
Run and hide under the bed. klouchek is on the move again. Wonder why the GOP mythologists get their pulse in a stir at the mere hint Frank is thinking again.
Mr. Wiken if you think that Mr. Klouchek can take Rep. Nelson out in a fair and regular election I must say you are insane. Mr. Klouchek may be insane but he has a lot of time on his hands to do so.

If Mercer was concerned about the truth he would not continue to promote Daugaard's bogus $127 million budget cut. Excerpt from Mercer's column in Monday's Mitchell paper:
"The $127 million of cuts made at the request of Daugaard in his first year as governor showed how difficult — but possible — a 10 percent cut can be."

Yeah Cory, were is your outrage over Demcorats voting in favor of SDGOP crony capitalism on SB235?
I am unhappy, Steve, that the only way we can get good programs for funding education, housing, and community development is to attach it to the corporate welfare to which Republicans are addicted. But from a pragmatic perspective, it's pretty impressive that a small minority of Democrats can get the GOP supermajority to accede to some sensible policies in this omnibus bill.

Cory, I have a post about to post that will explain how the liberal agenda of socialists Democrats are aligned with the agenda of corporatist RINOs. 12 true conservatives voted against this pork package. One Democrat refused to be bought off by the crony capitalists. The people of South Dakota will be the ones getting screwed.
Democrats get nothing but greater irrelevancy from this. They should be getting behind Stacy Nelson with a promise to refer any "omnibus" and hoghoused piles of political dog crap to voters to send a message that we are all tired of partisan games and obfuscation.

Yah, I could have phrased that a bit better, but editing after pushing the post comment here is impossible.
I got e-mail from Frank K. today. His writing style sucks, but he is thinking and even when half right, he is better than 99.9% of the soapy smooth GOP apologists and mythologists.
