Gun! Bible! Vote for Me!

Question: Which of these things doesn't fit with the others?

  1. A pistol
  2. Annette Bosworth
  3. The Bible
  4. The United States Senate

Annette Bosworth waves pistol and Bible

Answer: (E) All of the above.

This photo comes from another awful segment of the Chad and Annette Traveling Medicine Show. Annette Bosworth and her husband Chad Haber think that sticking a gun and a Bible in your face will make you vote for her. Flying Spaghetti Monster help us if you do.

And Annette, you are paying experts to handle your marketing. Maybe you should let them do their job.

This can only be a joke.

talk about shooting yourself in the foot-so to speak.

  3. Jenny 2013.11.05

Where do you find these pics, Cory! Bachmann, Palin, Noem and Bosworth all kind of look alike and could pass as sisters! The lady gunslingers!

Wow. That is horrible. What is she trying to say? "I'm the Christian White Widow?" Now I have an idea how your everyday American Muslim feels about being lumped in with idiots overseas.

Here's my conspiracy theory. Someone is encouraging these morons with the plan of making her the next O'Donnell.

Sometimes it's hard to tell satire from the truth.

Nick, she's not Kristi Noem by any stretch, but like Kristi Noem, she makes blogging easy.

Bree, if you find any Democrats conspiring to back Bosworth-Haber for nefarious O'Donnellesque purposes, let me know. I'd like to give those misguided creatures a piece of my mind. SD Dems need to focus all of their resources on straight-up campaigning, not monkeyshines. It's more likely this laughable campaign is a product of the Rounds-Wadhams machine trying to divide the Stace Nelson constituency.

  7. Bree S. 2013.11.05

Cory, I definitely think this a Wadhams scheme. Let me devolve into a state of paranoia and I'll get back to you.

Bree, we agree on something: Bosworth is a decoy.

  9. Bree S. 2013.11.05

Yeah well, Patrick Davis? In Colorado? Come on.

Keep working down that line, Bree... I'm with you....

Hey, can anyone zoom in on that gun and run a check on the serial number?

  11. Bree S. 2013.11.05

Meanwhile Rounds trolls on the DWC are talking about how Thune "endorsed" Rounds when he has done no such thing. I'd like to hit those blithering morons over the head with an I.Q. Bat.

  12. Winston 2013.11.05

Let me guess, Bosworth believes in 2nd Amendment remedies too.....

After watching the video. I have to say this is absolutely the most inane thing I have ever seen. I do wonder where it came from. Cory, please enlighten us. Values ARE taught in our schools, and they always have been. If she thought the only way to teach values is by using the upside-down Bible she is holding, she would be sending her sons to a Christian schools, which she didn't do even when she supposedly had money (and from the FEC reports, they do have money, but choose to spend it on things other than their children’s well-being). So if she believes in what she is saying, then running for Senate is more important to her and her husband than their children. If her children are more important than any job or political campaign, then she must not believe what she is saying. She could be using her money to send her boys to a school that does teach the Bible… better yet, she could actually take the time to teach values to them. True conservatives do not want values taught at school, they want them taught at home. Sadly, too often the schools are the only way to teach values, when parents or responsible parties can’t or won’t do it. I think this will be funny to see when Stace Nelson uses it against her.

She's impersonating the person she hopes will impersonate her on Saturday Night Live about this time next year, while helping them write the script.

  15. Dave Baumeister 2013.11.05

Ahhh, that explains it… Thanks, Rorschach!

Dave, the last time I went to church there was an advertisement for a non-profit in my bulletin. Rather than any kind of uplifting spiritual message given by the pastor, the "message" was to be delivered by a spokesman for this foundation. He got up and told the congregation how his foundation focuses specifically on assemblies in public school, and connecting students with local preachers (the impression given was that the foundation concentrated on trying to "bring to Christ" public school children). Needless to say as a conservative who believes strongly in parental rights, I was completely horrified. Also, for the amount of money they spent on one assembly trying to convert other people's children (in an already majority Christian nation!) I could feed and house 100 orphans for a month. The pastor gushed about the good work the foundation was doing and asked us to stay after for a potluck to raise funds for this foundation. Then he stated that the entirety of next weeks service would be dedicated to watching a DVD about the scientific evidence that supports the Genesis creation story.

Clearly the pastor thought he was a conservative. I doubt he has a clue that he's actually a religious fascist. Apparently Bosworth thinks all Republicans are religious fascists and is trying to connect with the voter. As an actual conservative Republican, if she hadn't already lost my vote she would have lost it with this mockery of a presentation.

A good bud of mine nailed it. I think the pic is her response to Obama's "they cling to their guns and religion" remark from back in the '08 campaign.

  18. Bree S. 2013.11.05

My husband looked at the picture and the first thing out of his mouth was "Is she making fun of us?" lol.

  19. Rick 2013.11.05

Bree - Exactly my thoughts. This is over the top, even for the koolaid drinkers.

I'm thinking she's auditioning for a spot on SNL. She's the next Tina Fey.

  21. grudznick 2013.11.05

I have seen insaner things but this one is funny. Didn't Mr. PP post this video a month ago? She's a very pretty young woman but I think she's still searching for her image, or her young husband is writing these scripts oddly after sitting around with buddies and a few tall Schmidts.

That's one scary whackadoodle! The gun, BTW, is a Colt Umarex 1911 in 22 cal with a TAC rail. Retails for about $400.

Lets see. Owned property in Hartford SD and lost it in foreclosure. Nearly had her medical licensed revoked (possibly for insurance fraud). This ad. Yeah I'm sure she would fit in with all the other problems our government has.
