Brrr! Put on your longjohns and head out to a Democratic party Saturday night in Sioux Falls! The Democratic Forum is hosting a 2014 Victory Party (optimism is key to surviving winter and South Dakota Democratic Party membership!) Saturday night, December 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the History Club, 758 South Phillips Avenue.
Tickets are $10, though guests are welcome to fill the hat higher. Proceeds will help legislative candidates challenge the ALEC-fueled society-wrecking of the SDGOP.
As a special bonus, Dems attending the Forum victory party will have a chance to meet and grill freshly announced Democratic gubernatorial candidate Joe Lowe! I just got off the phone with the candidate, who himself has been burning up the telephone minutes this week connecting with Dems and the press. The big cold snap isn't keeping Lowe off the road; he plans to cross the state and join the revelers at the Forum Victory Party. Dems, shake a leg (it'll keep you warm!), get to the History Club Saturday night, support your legislative candidates, and meet the man who wants to be your next Governor!
Wish I could be there! I'll be at an event at the Multi-Cultural Center which is going on at the same time.
Phil, if you can't make tonight's party, you can contact Joe Lowe directly and send him your tough political questions via his new website: http://joeloweforsdgovernor.com/ !
I hope people get out to met this man as a very electable candidate for the
Democrats .. Sharp guy but in a very red state
A campaign booster tells me Independent gubernatorial candidate Mike Myers will also be attending the Democratic pre-victory party. Bring your camcorders: a friendly debate may break out!
It won't be a friendly debate with Messrs. Myers and Lowe. Bring your video cameras and some boxing gloves, those two don't get along.
