I continue getting 30-second-plus load time for MadvilleTimes.com. So do many of you. That's not pleasant. I'm gathering good advice from smart and experienced readers, mucking about in the database, and working to reduce that unacceptable lag time.
Among the solutions I'll pursue for now: I will delete most of the older posts I imported from the original Blogspot site. I'll keep the Blogspot site up as the archive for everything from 2005 to 2009 and probably a fair chunk of my 2010 posts. I would prefer to have the entire Madville Times opus under one web heading, but for now, suddenly plunking 4500 posts onto a new WordPress installation appears to be... problematic. Stay tuned!
