Thad Wasson, My Hero! (Any Chance Thad Can Fix Slow Blogs, Too?)

In an alternative universe, we are preparing to swear in Thad Wasson as our next Congressman. Alas, he cut his campaign short, leaving us always to wonder whether he could have provided more blog fodder than Kristi Noem.

But in this universe, Mr. Wasson's choice has served me well: he's trying to fix my phone! He went beyond the call of duty, even for a conscientious Qwest technician, and asked his central office tech in Rapid City to look into the audible midnight rings emitted by the regular line tests Qwest does to make sure my phone is working. Thanks, Thad! if the phantom rings return, I'll let you know.

Thad and a few other correspondents also confirm that I'm having tech problems on my end of the Web: the new MadvilleTimes.com website is taking way too long to load! Sometimes it zooms right to the screen, but sometimes it takes 30 seconds, which in Web years is forever. Nuts to that! I'll keep pulling figurative wires in WordPress to see what's plugging the line. if that doesn't work, I'll call my hosting provider, GoDaddy.com, to ask why I'm now paying money for worse service than Google provided through Blogger for free. Suggestions are welcome!
