DWC Contradicts (Predictably) on McGovern Bashing and Mickelson Worship

Dakota War College continues Pat Powers' criticism of Matt McGovern's use of his famous name for political gain. McGovern has announced his candidacy for the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission, where he seeks to replace Daugaard-appointee Kristie Fiegen.

Absent from DWC's agenda is any criticism of another political grandson, Mark Mickelson, who is trading on his prominent political name to campaign for a District 13 State House seat. DWC credits the Mickelson grandson as a "strong candidate" and welcomes the chance to "relive some great memories" of the Mickelson dynasty.

Not that we should expect intelligent commentary from the nameless DWC sputterers, but it would be nice if our conservative colleagues would recognize the logical implications of their own memes.

The SDGOP establishment blog is controlled by fascists, not conservatives.

Steve, your relabelings add nothing to the discussion. I might as well come to your blog and demand that you restate key terms in French.

I don't think he stands a chance against Fiegen. Not saying she is that good but the legislature is where the dems will make gains.

Do Dems benefit from at least having someone in every slot on the ballot, even the two PUC slots? (Oh yeah, we still have to find someone to challenge Chris Nelson!)

Formulaic campaigns have become the norm in the chemical toilet: slime, rinse, repeat. Pat Powers should be given an award for nearly single-handedly destroying the SDDP.

Sorry, Cory: When all you have is fat ladies singing, it might be time to learn the tune.
