“Hottest Blogger in the Solar System”? Someone Check Woster’s Coffee…

Last updated on 2013.12.26

When a member of the Woster clan, perhaps South Dakota's greatest literary family, says something about your writing, you should pay attention. Here's what Rapid City journalist Kevin Woster says about the Madville Times in a Mount Blogmore post on the Brian Gosch/Jason Gant notary controversy:

Anyway, the hottest blogger in the solar system, Cory Heidelberger over at Madville Times, tells the story in excruciating-yet-somehow-captivating detail (you'd think the guy was a teacher or something...). But, of course, it's wise to take Cory's fine blogournalism with a Democratic grain of salt. Actually, with Cory, take the whole shaker. Then add some oregano, just to be sure.

Still, for a biased advocate, the guy is thorough as well as entertaining. It never hurts when bloggers start with "smart," and go from there [Kevin Woster, "By Gosch, You Gant Deny This Stuff Is Complicated," Mount Blogmore, 2012.06.11].

Hyperbole, neologism, a paraprosdokian, and a hyperlink... that's quality blogging! You may decide whether Woster's pun title forfeits his literary license. I appreciate Mr. Woster's puneficence and thank him for the compliment.

I'd make "Start with smart and go from there" my new Madville Times tagline... but then I'd have to pay Woster royalties.
