Varilek Makes Debate Video Available to Public; Noem Does Not

Matt Varilek and Rep. Kristi Noem hit the airwaves for their first statewide broadcast debate on SDPB in mere minutes! Whoo-hoo! Time to max out my Twitter quota again!

Noem has deigned to face Varilek in open debate on three other occasions: at DakotaFest in August, before the editorial board of that Sioux Falls paper in September, and at a Rapid City forum last week.

If you check out the candidates' YouTube channels, you'll notice an important difference. On Matt Varilek's YouTube channel, you can review the full video of the Rapid City debate. You can also view what appears to be the full DakotaFest debate in six separate clips (openers, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5). The Kristi for Congress YouTube channel offers no debate videos, just her ads and her futile speech at the "Farm Bill Now!" rally.

I invite readers to address this question: why would one candidate post video of public debates and the other not?

I have a feeling that if you watch Matt Varilek debate Kristi Noem on TV tonight, you'll understand why.
