In his ongoing persecution complex, Gordon Howie claims he's one of the conservatives targeted by the IRS for "additional scrutiny" of a request for non-profit status:
One of the organizations I run, The Faith and Family Foundation, applied for a 501 3-C tax status. That organization operates a thrift store that serves the community and gives clothing and merchandise away daily to those in need. Our mission is to serve the community and promote conservative Christian principles. Most recently, we sent a truck load of clothing to the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. After MONTHS of delay, our application was chosen for “additional scrutiny” by the IRS. Still no word on when or if we will be approved [Gordon Howie, "Technical Difficulties," The Right Side, 2013.06.29].
Reality check: Gordon Howie is a vigorous political activist. He sticks up for convicted tax cheat Ed Picardi. Howie himself has dodged taxes. As a centerpiece of his 2010 gubernatorial campaign, he urged pastors to break tax law and endorse him from their pulpits. His name appears on a tangle of for-profit and non-profit corporate boards, including his own delinquent church. The funding for his rabidly right-wing blog Potemkin village comes from who-knows-where.
So be honest: if anyone deserves additional scrutiny when applying for the opportunity to get out of paying taxes on income, shouldn't it be Gordon Howie?

I have to answer that he's the guy that didn't pay his taxes, hates women's rights, is a homophobic bigot, and still managed a failed run for governor of South Dakota.
Gordon you are a bottom feeder living off of the stupidity of those around you that think the same way as you do. You can change all of this in my mind by bringing Brad Ford forward and telling us who he really is. If he's real there wont be a problem and I will apologize, If he's fake this will only be the beginning of the end for your fifteen minutes of fame.

The way I look at is, if these organizations don't have anything to hide, and are following the rules, they shouldn't have to worry about being searched. Some people have to grow up.
