Senator Tim Johnson sent a fundraising e-mail on behalf of Gary Peters, a Democrat running for Senate in Michigan. Pat Powers concludes that Senator Johnson no longer likes South Dakota's Democratic candidate Rick Weiland.
The teacher sighs wearily and takes up his chalk:
- Mr. Powers ignores the fundraisers Senator Johnson has hosted for his hopeful successor, including one just two weeks ago with 30 other Senators.
- By his "logic", Mr. Powers must be an awful dad, since it is only possible for him to support one of his seven children.
- By that same "logic", my allegedly "overhyped" and "fabricated" story that Dan Lederman and the Rushmore PAC may be backing away from GOP Senate candidate Marion Michael Rounds makes perfect sense. On December 18, Lederman's Rushmore PAC declared its support for Georgia Senate candidate Rep. Paul Broun. To paraquote Powers:
Think about it. If South Dakota was remotely competitive, and the [Republicans'] offering was marginally better than running a potted plant for the office, you would think [Dan Lederman] would be doing every thing he can to ensure his legacy for the South Dakota [Republican] Party [three nouns changed by CAH; original text from Pat Powers, "Tim Johnson Giving up...," Dakota War College, 2013.12.23].
Please tell me it is obvious to everyone but the most self-deluding readers of Dakota War College that (a) Tim Johnson is capable of multi-tasking and (b) Pat Powers is being silly.
Oh Good Grief!!!
I get funding raising emails from out of state politicians lending their support to others, not from their own state, all the time. I'm sure Powers must too.
Tammy Duckworth supporting and campaigning for Al Franken is just one example. Powers is stupid.
Maybe just think of Pat as one of those cheap 4th of July pinwheels that is now finally fizzling out.
dwc go to jesus?
pp and the gop are circling the drain conservatively and collectively.
