Bosworth: Staff Failed “Performance Measures”; Reference Letter Says Otherwise

In a press conference this morning, reporters asked illegitimate U.S. Senate candidate Annette Bosworth about allegations that she has failed to pay employees of her clinic and her campaign the wages she promised them. Bosworth did not deny that she has shorted her workers paychecks. Instead, she accused her staff of not meeting "performance measures":

She didn't respond directly to the question, but obliquely criticized the former employees.

"There are performance measures that are met on my team," Bosworth said. "When you're not holding up your responsibilities on the team, there is a trend that says they won't stay long" [David Montgomery, "Bosworth Slams Critics on Food Stamps, Employee Pay," Political Smokeout, 2014.05.13].

So to clarify, Annette, you're saying you did pay employees less than what you promised because they didn't work up to your expectations?

...When asked Tuesday whether she was saying former employees hadn't been paid their wages because they hadn't been doing their jobs, Bosworth rephrased her original statement about "performance measures" and added that "everyone on my team has had sacrifices."

"That's enough questions on that," Bosworth concluded [Montgomery, 2014.05.13].

Enough questions? No no no no no. Nurse practitioner LeAnn Batiz came forward last week with the $80K/year contract Bosworth promised her and the Bosworth pay stubs showing she ended up having to go on food stamps to feed her family. Batiz didn't have any trouble meeting performance measures. Bosworth said so herself in her November 15, 2013 recommendation letter for Batiz:

Annette Bosworth, recommendation letter for LeAnn Batiz, November 15, 2013

I found Ms. Batiz to be an outstanding nurse practitioner, who was highly motivated, intelligent, hardworking, and meticulous. Patients and coworkers and physicians thought highly of her professionalism, genuine sincereity, and concern....

Ms. Batiz was extremely proficient in our EMR system and spent hours helping to reprogram the system to benefit the staff and patients....

Ms. Batiz is leaving my clinic... in excellent standing and was not the subject of adverse actions whatsoever.... I recommend Ms. Batiz without any reservation and with the highest regard [Annette Bosworth, recommendation letter for LeAnn Batiz, November 15, 2013].

Sure sounds to me as if Batiz was meeting performance measures. So tell us again, Annette: why didn't you pay her what you promised her?

Annette just can't keep from talking, can she? She's standing her ground on the poor people=animals theme meme, and every time I screw someone it must be their fault because I AM the CHOSEN ONE. It never occurred to either Chad or Annette that the only real way to pull off the "I am the chosen one" is to be an honest to goodness honorable person. Lying, theiving, con artists need not apply.

  2. Jim 2014.05.13

Annette, when you are dissatisfied with an employee's work, people generally fire them, rather than simply stiff them on wages while they keep working. In june, Lets not have you complain when the voters of South Dakota tell you that you have not met their performance measures.

  3. Rorschach 2014.05.13

"There are performance measures that are met on my team," Bosworth said. "When you're not holding up your responsibilities on the team, there is a trend that says they won't stay long"

Dr. Bosworth got that much right. She wasn't holding up her responsibilities to pay her team, and they left. Dr. Bosworth was referring to her own failure to meet performance measures.

  4. WestRiver 2014.05.13

What would be great is if all the other stiffed employees had such shining reference letters...wonder what she'd come up with then for the reason she fired them?

  5. WestRiver 2014.05.13

Ethan Crisp, Matthia Rall, and the rest need to print theirs too. Then what would she say?

  6. Kristi 2014.05.13

Cory, did you see the latest YouTube video she posted on her page about 'hoodboogers' at Walmart?

  7. grainofsalt 2014.05.13

Rorschach, you are absolutely right. Bosworth inadvertently told the truth. She's completely failed normal performance standards of paying salaries as promised, therefore her team members did not stay long.

  8. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.13

No, I haven't caught that one. Who or what are the hoodboogers?

  9. WestRiver 2014.05.13

She's basically promoting the idea that people who are using Food Stamps are dishonest, immoral, and greedy.

  10. JeniW 2014.05.13

Perhaps her practice is/was not generating enough income?

M.D. may not mean Many Dollars.

  11. scott 2014.05.13

How did she make it through med school???

  12. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.13

"A skank from the hood that's messed with everyone in the same hood."—Nick, having read that definition, I can only assume that Bosworth just baiting us, trying to provoke a reaction, thinking that for every 999 people who are repulsed, 1 idiot will say, "Wow, she's cool. I'll send her money."

  13. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.13

Steve Hildebrand has an open letter to Annette Bosworth on his Facebook page. If I knew how to share it here I would.

The letter is loaded with Bosworth contradictions, including that she was once pro-choice and supported gay marriage, among other things.

She still Steve $23,000 in consulting fees from a few years ago.

The more I learn about this woman, the more I want her to win the primary. Even the tea party would likely disown her.

  14. Rhino Lynn 2014.05.13

Roger is there any way to copy and past that open letter? Sorry I am not registered with facebook.

  15. grudznick 2014.05.13

I can't see the Facebook either. Mr. Nemec's term hood booger is certainly not something I'd call any young lady.

  16. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.13

    Rhino Lynn,

As I stated, I don't know how to cut and paste. Surely there is a tech savvy madvillian that could help us out.

  17. Jenny 2014.05.13

Hi Roger, did you mean to say that she still 'owes' Steve Hildebrand 23,000 fees in your above reference to Annette B?
I don't do FB otherwise I would cut and paste for you.

  18. Jenny 2014.05.13

Cory to the rescue! He just posted it!

  19. grainofsalt 2014.05.13

Yes, she still owes Hildebrand $23,000. She complained because he "deserted" her when she stopped "donating" $$$ to him, and said he seemed to be "uncomfortable" when she "prayed" over him. Gee, ya think!!

  20. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.13

I wasn't aware that when you retain a consultant their payment is considered a "donation"
It is far more likely that Steve "deserted" her because she didn't pay him, which appears to be her habit.

  21. Pam 2014.05.13

Well, I just copied and pasted Steve's letter on Dr. Bosworth's Facebook page. It probably won't be there for long, but maybe a few of her fawning admirers will have the chance to read what she has done.

  22. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.14

It was still there the last time I checked. Thanks.

  23. LeAnn Batiz 2014.05.14

Thank you Cory & everyone else for your kind words & support.

  24. LeAnn Batiz 2014.05.14

Thank you Cory and everyone else for your kind words. We can only hope that our exposing them will save others from being taken advantage of financially, emotionally, and mentally.

  25. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.05.14

Pam, perhaps folks need to start pasting Steve's letter and other comments to Bosworth's office door (Lutherans should enjoy that). Perhaps folks could go out on I-90 and staple their comments to Bosworth's one campaign sign.

  26. grainofsalt 2014.05.14

LOL, I just listened to Bosworths latest "devotional". In it she mentions the press conference of that morning. She calls it a "miracle", and that she has been "unexpectantly blessed" and been "shown favor". What press conference was she referring to??? The one I saw didn't do her any favors at all.

  27. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.14

    Oh Goody, Gaddy is back!

  28. Pam 2014.05.14

Well, my posting of Steve's letter to Dr. Bosworth's page has been removed, and I'm now not allowed to post. Who ARE these people who are carrying on and praising her? Ye gads.

  29. Nick Nemec 2014.05.14

I suspect the people praising Annette are avatars created by hubby Chad.

  30. Roger Cornelius 2014.05.14

From the number of people commenting here and on Facebook about Annette "the censor" blocking them, is suspect she has a full time unpaid worker doing nothing but deleting post on Facebook and her sham charity, helphealhunger. That woman definitely has 1st Amendment issues.
I always thought the solution to "healing' hunger was feeding people.

  31. Jon 2014.05.15

HAHAHA looks like her Fundly page has been taken down by the site Admin!! epic!! way to go!! LOL @ posting the letter to annettes one campaign sign. this is too good haha

  32. grainofsalt 2014.05.17

LeAnn Batiz, I'm so glad you came forward. You have rock solid evidence. You have a contract. You have paystubs. What you went through shows the type of people Annette and Chad really are. By doing what you did, rest assured it will open eyes.

  33. LeAnn Batiz 2014.05.20

Thank you grainofsalt. I sure hope it helps others also have the courage to stand up. My whole purpose is to stop others from being financially or otherwise ruined by Annette Bosworth & Chad Haber.
