Ethan Writer Backs Anti-Obama Letter with Lie about ISIS at Mexican Border

In the Department of Non-Responses, one Leonard Heckel of Ethan responds to my upbraiding of the Mitchell Daily Republic for publishing a letter to the editor last month from John Shaw that fabricates statistics and repeats proven lies. Mr. Heckel addresses none of my claims; he merely amplifies Shaw's Islamophobia and homophobia and reasserts with cowardly indirectness the pernicious lie about the President's religion:

In his letter to the editor Dec. 6, Cory Heidelberger blasts John Shaw as being hateful, bigoted, a liar and therefore not a Christian, but just some malcontent. He goes on to say that Obama is a Christian. Heidelberger was commenting on Shaw's letter (Nov. 29).

...True Christians confront evil and do not consciously lie and deceive. Obama, on the other hand, has been caught in many lies and deceptions, and in some instances has promoted evil. And in addition to all these things going on under his watch, he has been involved in a string of scandals. Shaw was only warning of coming judgement and why. So let us not kill the messenger [Leonard Heckel, letter to the editor, Mitchell Daily Republic, 2014.12.19].

Heckel avoids saying, "Barack Obama is not a Christian." But none of his text refutes the fact that Barack Obama is a Christian. None of that text refutes the argument I make that if one rejects all available evidence to cling to the fantasy that Barack Obama practices some other religion, one must then logically reject the claims and evidence all other people, including Shaw, present to posit their Christianity. By Shaw's and Heckel's own logic, my claim that Shaw is not Christian is as valid as Shaw's and Heckel's claim that the President is not Christian.

If Heckel wants to assert some "True Christians never lie" Heaven-eligibility standard, then Heckel just forfeited his membership card. Heckel, like Shaw, repeats a lie to gin up fear of Muslims:

The Judicial Watch Corruption Chronicles blog confirmed that four ISIS members were captured on the Mexican border on Oct. 8. These are threats and concerns we can't ignore [Heckel, 2014.12.19].

Actually, we can ignore that threat. There have been no ISIS arrests at the Mexican border. Politifact declared this claim by California Congressman Duncan Hunter "incorrect and ridiculous" two months ago. But people like Heckel and Shaw find it easier to embrace fear and lies to support their narrow-minded worldview.

"But none of his text refutes the fact that Barack Obama is a Christian."

What kind of Christian Cory? Biblical, fake, or apostate are three options.

Does Obama promote the Biblical exclusivity of Jesus Christ?

  2. jerry 2014.12.23

I think President Barack Obama is antipasto, whatever kind of follower that may be. In some circles, the name Steven Sibson could be defined as an unknown because you may have come from the Caucasus Region of the Black Sea. In other words a white Muslim that changed religion to suit the move to the land of Milk and Honey. Many people who came to the land of the free land, changed religion to avoid the persecution even here. You can see the KKK rallies that took place on the main street in Rapid City in the old days. Which proves what was old is now new again.

  3. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.12.23

Translation of Steve's query: What kind of Christian, Cory? The ideal kind that I believe I myself and few other select elites are, or the kind that we have to discredit because he doesn't affirm our worldview that all Christians have to look and vote exactly as we do?

  4. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.12.23

Steve, you're asking the wrong question. Neither Shaw nor Heckel is asking anything like the theological question you pretend this argument is about. They say he's a Muslim, against far more evidence of the President's Christianity than exists for either Shaw's or Heckel's religious inclinations.

  5. JeniW 2014.12.23

Steve S., was it not you who wrote that you do not judge who is Christian?

I think the topic came up when I asked you if you believe that Steve Hickey is a Christian. (which you did not give a straight "yes" or "no" answer to.)

Since you asked about what type of Christian Obama is, please tell us what type of Christian, if at all, type is Steve Hickey. He is a pastor that leads a Christian church.

If you do not judge the type of Christian Steve Hickey and others are, why are you asking Cory to make that judgement about Obama?

  6. Nick Nemec 2014.12.23

What kind of Christian are you Steve?

  7. Jenny 2014.12.23

In a bizarre way, I know that Steve is suffering from the late effects of Catholicism. Ex-Catholics usually do one of two things, run the hell away from Christianity or embrace the bible in search of themselves. Sibson, obviously is doing the latter, most do the former.

  8. jerry 2014.12.23

Sibson is recycled or a retread from something that he has run away from. I am sure he is a fine fellow once you get past the armour that he hides behind.

  9. JeniW 2014.12.23

Jenny, another option is that some switch to a denomination that is better suited for them. I did, and know of others who did the same.

  10. Roger Cornelius 2014.12.23

Yesterday on another thread Sibson was attacking President Obama and his mother for the color of their skin, today he continues the attack on the president's Christianity.
Sibson continually rails that the Constitution has been trashed, yet in reality the Constitution works. President Obama met all the Constitutional requirements to run and serve as president of this country. The qualifications for the presidency say nothing about the candidate's religion, nothing Sibson, nothing.
IF the president was a Muslim, which he is not, does that diminish his astounding work of healing this nation's economic recovery in the past six years?
Does being a Muslim president diminish his role in fighting for social issues like gay marriage or equal pay for equal work? Incidentally Sibson, Muslim are notoriously anti-gay.
There are several states that have Muslims in congress, are they a threat to our government because of that? Did only Muslims elect them or was it a cross section of voters that elected the best man for the job?
Sibson you are a social cancer on South Dakota and this country, your professed Christianity is an even larger cancer on yourself.

  11. Bill Fleming 2014.12.23

When asked if he was a Hindu Gandhi said, “Yes I am. I am also a Christian, a Muslim, a Buddhist and a Jew.” Gandhi united India and helped its people obtain their independence from Great Britain.

Roger is exactly right. The problem isn't what religion you are. The problem is perhaps instead which ones you are not. :-)

  12. Jim 2014.12.23

"Judge Not Lest Ye be Grudz"

  13. Nick Nemec 2014.12.23

Thanks Bill. Sib is essentially a believer in Theocracy. One problem with theocracies is the constant purging of apostates, before long you end up with a country of paranoids not unlike North Korea.

  14. Steve Sibson 2014.12.23

"Steve S., was it not you who wrote that you do not judge who is Christian? "

That is still my position. The determination is based on God's Word the Bible, not me. Those who reject the Bible and still claim to be Christian are either fake or apostate.

Nick, I strive to follow a Biblical Christian worldview. I am a recovering New Ager.

And Jenny, Cory already made a judgment in his letter to the Mitchell paper. The readers were mislead as Cory's judgment is not based on God's Word, but based on that of an atheist. I plan on bringing the truth to those readers in the coming week

  15. Steve Sibson 2014.12.23

Right Fleming, Gandhi is setting up Satan's political system, a New Age Theocracy. Like Obama, Gandhi cannot worship Alla and all other gods and still claim to follow Biblical Christianity as that requires following the Biblical principle of the exclusivity of Jesus Christ. That truth will soon be presented to the readers of the MDR that were mislead my Cory's letter.

  16. Steve Sibson 2014.12.23

Roger, Obama in neither a Biblical Christian or a Muslim. He is a universalist who thinks he an have his cake and eat it to.

  17. Bill Fleming 2014.12.23

What other Gods Sibby? I thought Gandhi's notion was the probably the best possible way imaginable someone could say and show to others that he believes there is really only one. Do you believe there is more than one? Seems like it to me.

  18. Owen 2014.12.23

Actually, if Obama is a Muslim my question is, So what? The last I heard, no matter your religion, anybody can become President.
Shaw and Heckel look and sound like racists. Period.

  19. Steve Sibson 2014.12.23

    Bill, you can't believe in false gods and the true God at the same time. That is what the Bible says. 1 John 2:22;

"Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist--denying the Father and the Son."

Shaw and Heckel are not denying Jesus Christ. Cory, Obama, Gandhi are. Those Christians who use the Bible as the standard of truth know who the liars are.

  20. Bill Fleming 2014.12.23

That doesn't make any sense, Sibby. There's no such thing as a 'false god.' Something is either God or it isn't. There can only be one Supreme Being. Only one One. By definition. That's what 'one' means.

  21. JeniW 2014.12.23

""Steve S., was it not you who wrote that you do not judge who is Christian? "

"That is still my position. The determination is based on God's Word the Bible, not me. Those who reject the Bible and still claim to be Christian are either fake or apostate."

You did not answer my question of why did you ask Cory to judge what type of Christian Obama is, but you do not judge what type of Christian Steve Hickey is?

  22. Deb Geelsdottir 2014.12.23

Jim said, "Judge Not Lest Ye be Grudz".

Hahahahahahahaha! Grudz dear, where are you?!

  23. Steve Sibson 2014.12.23

JeniW, you still don't get it. I am not making the judgment, God's Word is. Since Cory does not believe in God's Word, then it is himself that is making judgment. Yes, an atheist made judgments in the MDR as to who is and who isn't Christian. If Cory wants to call someone a Christian who denies Jesus Christ, then his feet need to be held to the fire.

And Mr. Fleming, see this in regard to the issue of false gods:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_god

  24. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.12.23

Owen! True on the "so what"! True, true, true! These yokels trick us into having their conversation by dragging us into rebutting their falsehoods. They force us into a two-front debate. If we focus on debunking their lies about the President, we don't pay enough attention to contending the Islam is not inherently a disqualifier for office or for decency and humanity. If we focus on defending Islam, they get sneaky and say, "Ah, so you're acknowledging that the President could be a Muslim!"

I wonder: if we had just one minute left in a debate round and had to pick one issue or the other to focus on, would we more fully discredit our opponents by demonstrating their falsehood or their bigotry?

  25. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.12.23

Steve Hickey is a Christian. Barack Obama is a Christian. I don't know John Shaw and Leonard Heckel personally, but I am willing to assume they think they are Christians, and that aside from a few political and theological errors, probably agree with Rep. Hickey and President Obama that a carpenter from Nazareth was actually the son of God.

  26. jerry 2014.12.23

Sibson does not know that the 25th of December came from the Pope Gregory for the baby Jesus birth. Not one person in the whole world knows the exact day of birth. Sibson is still gnarly that a Pope could set the day that he claims as his. The rest of the religions all get it, so they have like celebrations of the time of the year that goes back to the ancient pagan times.

In the olden days, long before Christianity and the rest, there was a celebration of the winter solstice. That was a big deal that folks had a great feast and prepared for the super bowl of the day, checking out the sun rise. They knew that from that day on, the days would lengthen and they then could prepare themselves for the growing season along with the spring for food from other sources. Don't worry Sibson, the cash registers will not come to an end with the celebration of excess. Walmart will not stop the Black Friday which is a day more important to them than the birthday.

  27. JeniW 2014.12.23

Steve S., so your motivation of asking Cory that question is more about Cory than it is about Obama?

Why is Cory's beliefs important to you?

  28. Bill Fleming 2014.12.23

Yes, Sibby your link makes the same point I did. Thank you for it.

  29. Steve Sibson 2014.12.23

Bill, you have eyes but cannot see.

  30. Bill Fleming 2014.12.23

Sibby, you have numbers but cannot count. One means one. That's all there is to it. Simple.

  31. jerry 2014.12.23

    Funny stuff Bill Fleming.

  32. Steve Sibson 2014.12.23

Bill, yes just one. Jesus Christ. Not Alla, not Budda, not Baal... They are false gods.

  33. Steve Sibson 2014.12.23

Yes Jerry, there are fake Christians, or those who have never read the Bible and are fooled by false teachers. I reject Dominionism. It is the Right Wing version of the Left Wing Social Gospel that has man creating the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, after which they will let Jesus rule it. Not in the Bible.

And there is no mention in the Bible that Jesus was born on December 25th. Christmas is based on pagan beliefs. The same pagan beliefs that are being used to unite all pagan religions together into a one world religion that will set up the one world government. Read Revelation to understand that this is going to happen. So why are the Dominionists trying to stop it, and instead prepare as many people as possible for the Second Coming? Because they are not using God's Word as their guide.

  34. JeniW 2014.12.23

Buddha never claim to be a god, and those who practice Buddhism do not believe that Buddha was/is god.

"The Buddha is not thought of as a god in Buddhism and is not prayed to. He is looked up to and respected as a great teacher, in the same way we respect Abraham Lincoln as a great president. He was a human being who found his perfection in Nirvana.
Do Buddhists Believe in God? - Urban Dharma
    http://www.urbandharma.org/udharma3/budgod.html"

  35. JeniW 2014.12.23

That should read "Buddha never claimed to be a god...."

  36. jerry 2014.12.23

There is no second coming Sibson. Read the Book.

  37. Jana 2014.12.23

Uh oh...Sibby just called 13,000,000+ people the anti-Christ. That is not going to go over well with our closest ally Israel.

  38. Bill Fleming 2014.12.23

Again, Sibby, the term 'false God' is meaningless. You speak as if God is an object, a thing among other things. That misrepresents the whole essence of Oneness from the start. There can't be more than one One.

  39. Jana 2014.12.23

Sibby, I have to admit...and maybe it's just a lack of insight on my part...but it seems there are a lot of people who choose to use God to degrade others rather than worship Him and His love for all people.

I'll let you make that call with this discussion.

  40. Bill Fleming 2014.12.24

The whole idea of Satan and an evil army doing battle with the forces of good on Judgement Day is a form of dualism borrowed from the Zoroastrian (Persian) culture. It implies that there are basically 2 gods at war with one another. Sibby's belief in such things runs counter to the concept of Monotheism. But of course, he's not alone on that belief...a belief that basically creates a whole class of scapegoats for the self-righteous, allowing them to blame the evil in the world on someone other than themselves. Or as BCB (via the Existentialsts) would call it 'bad faith.'

  41. larry kurtz 2014.12.24

What's your point, Bill? Trying to convince yourself that Sibby is wrong?

  42. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.12.24

Sibby, that video is another specious lie like Shaw's and Heckel's. The videomakers themselves play word games, heading their video with "Obama Admits He Is a Muslim," then saying the opposite with their disclaimer—"Legal Disclaimer: The writers, producers, and editors of this video are not claiming or implying that Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim, or that Obama said he was a Muslim, rather they are only examining the evidence surrounding the rumor that Barack Hussein Obama might be a secret Muslim"—as if they are allowed to claim X and not-X as it suits their needs and whims. They can't even be honest about their own language, never mind the President's.

The video revolves predictably around one out-of-context statement from September 2008 that even the conservative Washington Times rejects as evidence to support the Obama-Muslim lie:

    http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslimfaith.asp

FactCheck.org thoroughly dissects the entire video and shows that its only value is as a study in creating lies with creative and unconscionable editing:

    http://www.factcheck.org/2009/12/truth-on-the-cutting-room-floor/

Sibson, Heckel, and Shaw will keep shouting lies; our only option is to keep shouting truth. Give up the lies, Sibby.

  45. JeniW 2014.12.24

Cory, Steve S. comments are not about Obmana, Christianity, type of Christianity, who is and who is not Christian, and etc. It is all about his being PO'd about your recent letter to the Daily Republic, and being PO'd at you in general.

The dragging it out by degressing into other topics allows him more opportunities to express his anger/dislike of you, me and all others who do not agree with his propaganda.

  46. Bill Fleming 2014.12.24

The point Larry, is that our opinions about our experience of the world and our perception of our position in it is a product of reflective consciousness, having little or nothing to do with reality. The point is that the deer and turkeys in my yard don't appear to be voluntarily putting themselves through such extreme bouts of mental and spiritual anguish.

  47. JeniW 2014.12.24

My typing error, it should read "Obama."

  48. David Newquist 2014.12.24

A shared trait among those who call themselves conservatives is the inability to process communication. To not recognize the deceptions attempted in that video is a matter of illiteracy, which has been spread as education involves less study of language and critical analysis and more blind obedience. In my time as a journalist, all editors and reporters were given letters-to-the editor to fact check and edit. Or to write letters of rejection explaining why letters did not meet the standards required to merit publication. Those letters from Mitchell would not have been accepted for publication. The are factually false, as is the video, and are the products of bigoted racial and ethnic hatreds that have resurged as a political doctrine.

  49. Steve Sibson 2014.12.24

Cory, I am not saying Obama is a Muslim. I said that earlier. It is Obama who claims he is a Muslim and a Christian. He is lying on both counts. Typical politician. Obama is a universalist that rejects the exclusivity of Jesus Christ:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5R6EPDtxtBg

  50. Steve Sibson 2014.12.24

"A shared trait among those who call themselves conservatives is the inability to process communication. To not recognize the deceptions attempted in that video is a matter of illiteracy,"

David, I clearly see Obama's lies & deceptions, along with Fleming's. I also see the Neo-Marxist deceptions that is fueling the hatred on the political left. And as I have already stated, I see the deceptions on the political religious right's Dominion Theology. The wealthy ruling elite absolutely love what they have created.

Bonus question for those her discern facts: how many times did Obama use the phrase "Holy Koran" in that video?

  51. caheidelberger Post author | 2014.12.24

No, Obama does not. The video you submit lies. By spreading the video, you lie. Don't lie to me.

  52. Steve Sibson 2014.12.24

And speaking of deception, factcheck.org is not about all the facts, such as their work with Obama in Chicago to politicize the schools:

It is funded in great part by the similarly named Annenberg Foundation. This foundation awarded nearly $50 Million to a reform project for Chicago public schools that operated from 1995 to 2001. A founding member of the organization was Bill Ayers. On the board of directors was none other than Barack Obama. For more details about the cozy relationship between Obama and Ayers (a self-admitted bomber and terrorist), see the article by Dick Morris that was published about a month prior to the 2008 presidential election. It may be found HERE. By the way, the Chicago organization was known as the Annenberg Challenge Foundation. Morris says it was founded in order to increase the political activism of Chicago students, if we are to believe the grant application submitted by Ayers. It did nothing to increase academic performance.

Does any of this prove anything of importance? Perhaps not. But it surely suggests some interesting connections between organizations and the people within those organizations–especially when they all bear the name of the same donor.

Bill Ayers applied for the money for the purposes of increasing political activism in Chicago schools. Barack Obama saw that the money was spent. We may never know exactly what went on as part of this organization, but one thing is sure. We have good reason to doubt the claim to political neutrality that is so proudly proclaimed by the Annenberg Public Policy Center.

    http://thelibertyprofessor.com/tag/annenberg-public-policy-foundation-bias/

  53. Steve Sibson 2014.12.24

    "No, Obama does not."

Cory you are denying the facts. And that is after you use Obama's wealthy political allies who provide propaganda disguised as fact checking.

  54. Steve Sibson 2014.12.24

    Form Cory's biased factcheck ling:

"Edited quote: Many other Americans have Muslims in their families or have lived in a Muslim-majority country — I know, because I am one of them.

Full quote: The United States has been enriched by Muslim Americans. Many other Americans have Muslims in their families or have lived in a Muslim-majority country — I know, because I am one of them."

So the line added explains what Obama is one of, "Muslim Americans". So he clearly admits he is a Muslim. And it is all too typical for Neo-Marxists to put the word "American" after their group allegiance.

Sad the Annenberg propagandists deny their own research, an Cory misuses it to attack the truth.

  55. Bill Fleming 2014.12.24

The only thing your quote above proves, Sibby is that you don't know how to read.

  56. JeniW 2014.12.24

    I disagree with your perspective.

Obama did not say that "I am a Muslim." He said "...Many other Americans have Muslims in their families, or have have lived in a Muslim-majority country."

He knows this because he either has family members who are Muslim, or have lived in a Muslim-majority country.

Your claiming that Obama is Muslim is like your telling me that I am Mormon because I have family members who are Mormon, or that I am a Seventh Day Adventist because I have family members who are Seventh Day Adventist, or I must be Jewish because I have friends who are Jewish.

  57. jerry 2014.12.24

Sibson, dead end propagandist for the right wing. You have not been born again, that is impossible. You simply stopped doing terrible things to yourself that promoted hurtful things to yourself and your family. The Catholic Church would take you back as would your bottle or whatever failings you may have had. It is not the Church's fault, look in the mirror for the culprit. You scream to the sea to turn back the tide, but like your blathering anger here towards Cory, only shows your ignorance to your own failings. Go have yourself some non-alcoholic eggnog and watch some Xmass flicks.

  58. Steve Sibson 2014.12.24

So if I move to Iran and say I am a "Christian Iranian", everyone will believe that I am no longer a Christian? No, I would probably lose my head for saying I am a Christian Iranian. Obama admitted he was a "Muslim American", which does not mean he is no longer a Muslim. Obama admitted he was a Muslim with his own words.

With all of that said, the video is biased and edited to present propaganda. But so does Cory. That is why I am here giving the other side of the story.

  59. Bill Fleming 2014.12.24

Sibby, you don't have to rely on anything other than reading comprehension to see that your assertion that Obama is Muslim based on his quote is false.

To prove it to you, I'm going to change just one word in his quote, and it will allow you to see the absurdity of your argument.

"The United States has been enriched by women Americans. Many other Americans have women in their families or have lived in a woman-majority country — I know, because I am one of them."

Notice that while truth of Obama's paraphrased statement remains intact, the veracity of your claim falls flat on its face, since obviously, Obama is not a woman, nor does he claim to be.

  60. JeniW 2014.12.24

I re-read what you posted above; Obama did not say "I am a Muslim American."

Please try to let go of your being PO'd at Cory. It does not do you any good, and Cory is not going to change.

  61. jerry 2014.12.24

Just remember Sibson, you and your ancestors were crapping in the street and spreading disease while the Iranians and the Arabs were purifying water and building sewer systems to dispose of their waste. The Phoenicians had developed writing and mathematics while you and yours were still studying their belly buttons. We all live here together Sibson, so stop being such an ass. Organized religion goes against everything the Testament says. You and yours, only read the parts that fit your hate and your prejudices, and those parts were written in long after the fact.

Jerry, I enjoyed immensely the article you linked above from Newsweek about the history of the Bible - Thanks! I see Sibby commented on the link, but from his comments I can also see that he simply looked at it without actually reading it, and then tried to claim it supported his unusual arguments.

  65. Steve Sibson 2014.12.24

Fleming thanks for showing Obama is as much a Muslim as a woman is a woman.

BCB, Jerry's link is old news for me. Glad you guys are starting to catch up.

"Organized religion goes against everything the Testament says."

No arguments from me on that point, except that it may be a little exaggerated.

  66. jerry 2014.12.24

Thank you bearcreekbat. As the link noted, the problems that we face here regarding religion is that for the most part, people follow it like Fox News. Whatever someone says while holding tee vee court, it taken for the truth. How many millions of lives have been lost because people are still stuck in the dark ages. Most of these nuts like Sibson, do not believe in climate change or conservation, while claiming to be some kind of conservatives. Their ignorance really puts a damper on progress. The born again meme, just means dry drunk.

Sibby, it seems like you now are prevaricating when you say: "Jerry's link is old news for me."

The article is dated yesterday, December 23, 2014, which doesn't really make it "old news." Again, I might suggest that you could benefit from actually reading the article rather than assuming you know what the author has written, and then commenting on your assumptions rather than the information set forth in the article.

Good catch bearcreekbat, it proves the article is correct.

  74. jerry 2014.12.24

Outstanding bearcreekbat, it just keep proving the religious rights intent on destroying America so we will be dependent on their so called, benefits to mankind. This group of misfits is the biggest threat to America since the Third Reich. Their manifesto is much the same with the racial purity as well as belonging to the right Christ. They are clearly terrorists and should be dealt with the same way we do ISIS along with the rest of the gang. They are a clear and present danger.

'The article is dated yesterday, December 23, 2014, which doesn't really make it "old news."'

BCB, The content is old news. I have more than read that kind of stuff, I have studied and attended seminars on the issue. I also read your link to Salon. I agree with Schaeffer regarding how the issue of abortion created a litmus test. What I disagree with is that the Religious Right created the Tea Party. Obama created the Tea Party with his stimulus package. Republicans like Mike Rounds used that money to fund his crony capitalism. Tea Party libertarians opposed Mike Rounds. The pro-life movement supported Rounds based on the single litmus test...abortion. That example shows that the Tea Party and the pro-life movement are not connected.

What the Salon piece also showed is how the reaction within the Christian community to the exposure of the false teachings of the Religious Right can be as extreme as the Religious Right itself. Schaeffer's positions on healthcare and illegal immigration are misplaced. Second, not everything his father wrote was wrong. How people used his work is what needs to be address. especially those using it today.

What Schaeffer described is represented by Steve Hickey in South Dakota. And how long have I been exposing the falsehoods of Hickey? The answer to that question shows that BCB accusation toward me on this thread was false.

But I am hopeful that the exposure of the falsehoods of the Religious Right can be a foundation to bringing some us in both political parties together in order to stand up to the crony capitalists that control Pierre, the public education system, and the media.

Remember, Jesus Christ is the reason for the season.

happy cory? keep enabling him and he'll keep telling us crony capitalists are the whole problem, together with obama, education and media. dry drunk alcoholic, angry ex-catholic who won't read, is the problem apparently. the definition of insanity as we have seen, over and over. and i see no end in sight of his monopolization of this blog. go to treatment sibby. you have exhausted everyone you contact. jimho

Winter solstice is the reason for the season.

  80. Bill Fleming 2014.12.25

Okay, I think maybe I'm staring to get it. The extreme right has fallen out of favor with with the 'establishment' Republicans, who now recognize they no longer need their most fanatical members to win elections, and in fact understand that associating with them will actually do their party harm in the coming years. So they're looking for a new home among the Democrats. It's the Dixiecrats doing the 'prodigal son' gig. Am I getting close, Sibby?

  81. bearcreekbat 2014.12.25

Sibby, you say, "I have more than read that kind of stuff, I have studied and attended seminars on the issue." I take that as a relatively direct admission that you did not read the article Jerry linked because you already had studied everything you thought might be in the article. The only "accusation" I may have made against you was that it did not appear that you read the article Jerry linked. I do not see how your prior attacks on anyone, including, Rep. Hickey, purport to answer what you call my "accusation." If you actually read the article linked by Jerry before your first comment about it, why not just say so? You failure to state that you actually did read it seems to substantiate what you call my "accusation" against you.

  82. Steve Sibson 2014.12.25

BCB, sorry you insist on making false allegations. That has been a problem with political activists. Instead of dealing with issues, the discussion centers around about personal attacks.

My very premise is that there are those, such as Obama, who claim to be Christian, but do not read or have read and reject Biblical principles. And these are the ones that the Christian haters use to paint the rest of us with their anger tainted paint. And the same goes for fake conservatives in the Republican party. As I have pointed out earlier, all they have to do is fool the pro-life movement and they can get away with being liberal on most everything else.

Like the personal racial attacks you level at President Obama Sibson?

  85. Bill Fleming 2014.12.25

Sibby continues to flaunt his illiteracy. He's so caught up in what he wants to say, he doesn't hear what anyone else says, no matter how clearly one writes it. Sibby, BCB is 'accusing' you of not reading the Newsweek article and pretending you already know what it says. It is painfully obvious to all of us that he is correct. You didn't and you don't. Stop typing, read it, and then respond. Otherwise you are doing exactly what the article predicts you will do, and exactly what you pretend you are not doing. That makes you either a liar or a fool. Which is it?

  86. Steve Sibson 2014.12.25

Fleming, both you and BCB are masters of deceit so that any truth that violates your worldviews must be destroyed. You are the liar and the fool. You have eyes but cannot see.
