Ron Paul South Dakota Campaign Depending on Surprise and Deception

My nutty cousin Aaron and his fellow South Dakota wingnuts are clinging to their fantasies of a Ron Paul primary victory, even though Ron Paul's own campaign manager has already declared Paul can't win. They are luring South Dakotans into contributing thousands of dollars to their lost cause (good grief, people! you'll get more utility from a pack of Oscar Mayer weiners!) with the following line:

Please understand that there is currently no organized campaign operation in this state by Governor Romney. Our advantage is the element of surprise! [fundraising propaganda, Conservative Republican Victory PAC, South Dakota for Liberty, 2012.05.26]

Element of surprise... that's code for "If voters find out what we really stand for, we don't stand chance."

Ron Paul supporters also appear to pair surprise with deception in their campaign toolbox. Check out this comment from an apparent organizer of the Paul "SD moneybomb" push this weekend:

The Conservative Republican Victory PAC is the actual name of the PAC and it's based in Virginia. It's named that way because we're hoping to get some large donors from Republicans who won't realize it's a Ron Paul PAC. (He's got some ads for it in the Virginia State convention schedules) Jared, is actually a Ron Paul Delegate from Virginia, and actually was hired to Run the campaign in ND. He left the campaign and has spent close to $2,000 of his own money here in SD helping us coordinate [comment from Tracy Saboe/"Skyorbit", "South Dakota for Liberty Operation is Up and Running!" DailyPaul.com 2012.05.20].

Winning by lying... and here my cousin Aaron keeps telling me how Ron Paul is the only candidate with any integrity.

Republican neighbors, I know that if you don't have a Legislative race, you don't have much at stake in the June primary. But you don't want Tracy Saboe, Aaron Heidelberger, and a cadre of other Republic-wrecking nutcases representing the South Dakota GOP at the national convention. Don't be surprised, and don't be tricked: vote on June 5, and keep your party out of the hands of Ron Paul fantasists.

With Gary Johnson running in the chemical toilet red state apparatchiks like Professor Blanchard (he's in full cracker tilt over there) were instructed by their handlers to go into crisis management mode in the hopes of slowing the mass exodus from the hapless Romney campaign.

    Shaka, when the walls fell.

Public Policy Polling is compiling evidence that the Ron Paul supporters will flock in droves to the Johnson campaign stranding Willard Romney in RINO land and give the President a comfy landslide into the Green Term.

Ron Paul can't win in South Dakota until Stace Nelson says he should win in South Dakota. Known fact.
