Daugaard Oil-Lust Increases Risk of Terrorist Attacks in South Dakota

Governor Dennis Daugaard is promoting petro-exploitation in South Dakota with his Oil and Gas Initiative.

Meanwhile, Rick Santorum swings wide and tells North Dakotans that their development of the Bakken oil fields means Iran might nuke 'em:

Rick Santorum warned a quiet North Dakota audience Wednesday that their state's booming oil industry positioned the region as a prime target for terrorism.

"Folks, you've got energy here. They're going to bother you. They'll bother you, because you are a very key and strategic resource for this country," the Republican presidential candidate said. "No one is safe. No one is safe from asymmetric threats of terrorism."

Santorum pointed to Iran as the source behind future terrorist attacks, ramping up his rhetoric on a country he frequently discusses on the campaign trail.

"That's what Iran will be all about unless we stop them from getting that nuclear weapon," Santorum said [Ashley Killough, "Santorum to North Dakota: Terrorists 'Will Bother You',"].

So, logically, we can conclude that by promoting local oil exploration, Governor Daugaard is putting South Dakota at greater risk of terrorist attacks. Right, Rick? Right?

I am not going to live my life in fear just because a politician wants to try to scare us. I am much more likely to be killed countless other ways than being a victim of terrorism. Yes, we should be careful. No, we should not be paranoid.

Trial for ecoterrorism in the Gulf of Mexico in question. Contact the White House to ensure that corporate perpetrators go to jail.

I'm building a bomb shelter as we speak! They should make the kids have drills again-like when I was a first grader.
I wonder if a teacher would organzie this drill he or she would get a 20% raise? Hmmmm.
I'll have to tell my wife the teacher. I'll tell her not to tell anybody either.

Santorum is crazy. His favorite word in his vocabulary is "I."

"Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Thursday accused President Barack Obama of actively seeking ways to allow Iran to gain a nuclear weapon and suggested that the administration had betrayed Israel by publicly disclosing what may be a plan to attack the Muslim nation."

There's a better chance that I would die on Terry Peak than at the hands of the King of Persia.

The oil-field ""terrorism threat" will be used as excuse to make driver license identification even more absurd or at least keep that discriminatory lunacy in place.

Opus Dei is the militant wing of the Roman Church and Santorum is just a crusader leading a majority of red staters to their final days.
